Lembit Öpik says the BBC haven't broadcast one single neutral, or pro-Trump, report since his victory and unless BBC can and he's going to seek a "legal perspective on their reportage of Trump in the context of the BBC Charter"
Maybe he can get us India back too. Or Malaya. How about Rhodesia? Ireland? Take your pick. He can do it all on day 1. You just have to believe.Several people
Apparently Trump is going to get rid of the Chagos deal and return them to the UK. He will reverse Starmer's treason in giving a\way British territory to China.
That the treaty returning the islands is between the UK and Mauritius and nothing to do with the USA is beside the point.
Also, does anyone really believe Mauritius has defence treaties with India and isn't actually an ally of China?
Don't forget Atlantis. That would be some prime real estate.Maybe he can get us India back too. Or Malaya. How about Rhodesia? Ireland? Take your pick. He can do it all on day 1. You just have to believe.

“On this dark day, we stand in solidarity with all US citizens who fear a convicted criminal and a fascist in the White House. And we stand with all those around the world who dreaded this moment and must now live with its consequences, including those in Gaza and Ukraine.”

Trump’s election is already doing more good for British interests across the world than the actual British Government…
That criticism was already voiced before Trump had anything to do with it.How about a British Member of Parliament commenting on the telegraph story that Senior Republicans have cast doubt on the deal and Farage is 'voicing concern and criticism of the deal' to the Trump team?
A quick skim through Twitter will show others claiming that Trump will scupper the treaty because it gives China a chance to build a ase next to the US base because Mauritius will jump in to the China camp.
Nigel was also waffling about it on GB News. He's going to get Trump to tell Starmer not to do it.

Trump as US President will have a say in the jointly US-UK leased island of Diego Garcia (highly secretive military base) but the US president has no jurisdiction to interfere with the binding Treaty between the UK and Mauritius, It is Diego Garcia which is the island of interest and that is still in British/US hands and will be for the coming future.Yes but the old administration was keen on it. Now Trump is in power and listens to Nigel he will order the UK and Mauritius to scrap the deal.

The only thing that’s in the national interest is for @UKLabour and @Keir_Starmer to feel the full pressure of a Trump administration.
There is no benefit for the UK in broking a deal to keep Labour out of trouble.
Labour must bend or be broken
Plus the deal allows the US to keep it's base on Diego Garcia. Why spoil a good thing?Several people

Applies to many countriesWell that's right wing "patriots" and the right wing media for you, wishing the country ill in the hope of furthering their political aims.
