Cont: 2024 Election Thread part 3

Trump on Joe Rogan's podcast

Asked for proof to back up his repeated claims that the 2020 presidential was stolen from him, Trump told Rogan: “We’ll do it another time. I would bring in papers that you would not believe, so many different papers."

Rogan pressed him for evidence. “I lost by, like, I didn’t lose,” said Trump, quickly correcting himself.

On his Cabinet picks last time “biggest mistake” of his presidency was “I picked a few people I shouldn’t have picked”.

“Neocons or bad people or disloyal people,”
“A guy like Kelly, who was a bully but a weak person,”
John Bolton is “an idiot”, but useful at times.

“He was good in a certain way,” said Trump. “He’s a nutjob.

"And everytime I had to deal with a country when they saw this whack job standing behind me they said: ‘Oh man, Trump’s going to go to war with us.’

On Putin.
“I said, ‘Vladimir, you're not going in,’” he told Rogan, referring to Russian President Vladimir Putin. “I used to talk to him all the time.

“I can't tell you what I told him, because I think it would be inappropriate, but someday he'll tell you, but he would have never gone in.”

Trump said Putin invaded Ukraine because “number one, he doesn’t respect Biden at all”.

He also said he is "completely" committed to bringing Robert F Kennedy Jr into a potential new Trump administration.

Trump said he disagrees with Kennedy on environmental policy so would instead ask the vaccine critic to "focus on health, do whatever you want".

Because I thought that this was a fun quote, but am unsure of the actual source -

Imagine telling yourself that John Kelly, Mark Milley, James Mattis, Mark Esper, and Mike Pence are all lying to you, but a twice-impeached, rapist, business fraud, convicted felon who paints himself orange and rambles about sharks, batteries and golfer dick is telling you truth.

Trump: "I actually got a call from Sundar...the head of Google and he said, sir, I just want to tell you what you did with McDonald's was one of the single biggest events we've ever had at Google."

I've joked about it, but it really is a tell, isn't it? If a story includes someone calling him "sir", it's a lie.

There’s a lot going on. I don’t know if you know this but there’s literally a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now. I think it’s called Puerto Rico

Goes on to say

“And these Latinos, they love making babies too. Just know that. They do. They do. There’s no pulling out. They don’t do that. They come inside. Just like they did to our country.”

Grant Cardone calls Mark Cuban a "simp" and says Kamala Harris has "pimp handlers." He then says of Democrats "we need to slaughter these other people"

I guess nobody told him that Puerto Ricans are US citizens.
But they don't vote for President, so it's not as if they really matter.

Those Democrats should really tone down that incendiary rhetoric.
:sneaky:

One thing I noticed is that he's actually pronounced "Kamala" correctly, the few times I've heard him say it.
But enough with "The xxxxx-est in the history of our country!"
I saw that bit with the guy doing the racist jokes. I'd never seen or heard of him before but it did strike me as a (failed) standup routine. Like, much of the audience looking at each other -- "Should we laugh?"

Trump on RFK Jr: "I'm gonna let him go wild on health. I'm gonna let him go wild on the foods. I'm gonna let him go wild on the medicines."

The jokes land better in the original German.
