You're delusional if you think that a second Trump presidency won't be worse than his first. During his presidency, his desire for re-election was used by his advisers to keep him from some of his worst tendencies and actions which. Psychologically and cognitively, he's become much worse as evidenced by his rambling, incoherent, insane speeches and texting. He's hellbent on revenge seeking, will go on a pardoning spree, will stop aid to Ukraine, and could well pull us out of NATO. He could well add another extremist justice to the SC and
will certainly appoint more extremists to federal courts.

Dick Cheney is NOT being "rehabilitated". Dems don't think he's a "good guy" simply for endorsing Harris, but we do recognize that for him to so, he at least recognizes just how dangerous a second Trump term would be. Something you apparently don't.

Yes, we could eventually recover from a second Trump administration, but the damage we would have to recover from could well be extensive and long term.

True enough; as I like to put it, the problem with running in the middle is that you get shot at from both sides. OTOH as Dudalb pointed out the middle decides elections in the USA. This is a 40-20-40 country. The Democrat will get 40% and the Republican will get 40% no matter what. The 20% in the middle determine whether it's a landslide or a squeaker.
 
don't you think it's true that mainstream conservativism panders much harder to the far right than the dems do the far left? like, far left positions exist but they're not taken seriously by the people in power. i don't think that's remotely true for mainstream republicans, they pander to extreme right wing positions on many issues.

if you want to talk about who is willing to meet the middle in the middle that is.
 
I think it might be a reference to the murder of George Floyd and the subsequent Black Lives Matter protests, a few of which were disrupted by violent rioters but the vast majority of which were completely peaceful.

it doesn't even matter. it's literally the worst thing these bozos can think of, and even then the dems weren't out there promoting violence while donald trump was telling cheering crowds the cops should bash people's heads on their doors when they arrest people. he just said there should be a free for all day for the cops like two weeks ago.

it's ridiculous to even entertain this kind of foolishness. pure clownery.
