Neither Trump nor Biden had any material impact on the progress of the virus, and neither should be held accountable for when a virus showed up and decided to terrorize the human species.
The middle doesn't get votes.
I've noticed this. It's unfortunate . But then again, there are self-styled centrists, e.g. you, who have recently posted stuff that's (1) flat-out delusional and (2) in harmony with MAGA. Your one note samba is out of tune. There's a very strong tendency by several ISF posters to assume that any critique of pro-Dem rhetoric, or challenge to anti-Rep narrative means that the poster is a far-right Trump supporter.
The fallacy of the excluded middle is strong.
An important difference between trump1 and trump2 is the SCOTUS decision on presidential immunity, especially with regard to Trump telling the Justice department to do anything he wants with absolute immunity from future prosecution. While it starts with the SCOTUS, trump2 has a far more dangerous potential than trump1 ever did.2 reasons why that is not relevant for the upcoming election:
1: Institutions were not ready for Trump's willingness to transgress last time, and Obama did nothing to prepare for it; this time, institutions and civil organizations will be much more ready
2: the greatest damage Trump could do to democracy, he has already done: get anti-democracy nutjobs into the Supreme Court.
I believe that if the US can recover from Trump1, it can recover from Trump2.
Cheney was completely anti-democracy, by making up lies to the American people, telling them that there was Intelligence that never was.
As a result, at least 7,000 Americans and up to a million Iraqi and Afghani died.
I hate this rehabilitation of Bush and Cheney for expediency. it teaches war criminals that they just have to hang around until another Bad Guy shows up, they all their crimes will be forgotten.
And it's supremely naive to think that Voter appreciate Harris's outreach to Never-Trumper Republicans, She is just burning bridges on the Center and Left.
Not to mention, adios Ukraine and probably NATO.An important difference between trump1 and trump2 is the SCOTUS decision on presidential immunity, especially with regard to Trump telling the Justice department to do anything he wants with absolute immunity from future prosecution. Trump should be held accountable for two things which contributed to his lame response to the pandemic.
First, he removed the US pandemic response team from the National Security council, but didn't move it any other department, he just killed it. (The reason was that National Security advisor John Bolton wanted to concentrate on starting a war with Iran and saw that as a distraction). Since we had no government team in any agency dedicated to pandemic response, we were caught totally flat footed.
Second, when the reality of the pandemic became clear, the Trump administration did not focus on stopping the spread early on, and was too late to take steps to minimize the pandemic. Trump even slowed down the spending on making tests widely available for the nonsense reason that if there was more testing our numbers would be higher.
The virus got a foothold in the US and began to spread on Trump's watch and Biden inherited that mess from Trump.
Trump should not get a pass on COVID
And this is why the Right despite being wrong and horrible about literally everything still has ~40% of Americans ready to march into the sun for it.
Because they use everyone on their side they can get and don't go "On you're not good enough to support me, go away."
That's why Mom and Pop "Allz Iz needz is da flag and Jeysus" are ready to everything short of throw themselves in front of a bullet for man who can't walk past a church without bursting into flames and would sell the US to Russia and lose money on the deal but the Left can't get "We should eat the rich it would be more cathartic" and "We should kill the rich and use them for fertilizer to grow food it will be more efficient" to sit at the same table for 5 seconds.
PLEASE STOP FORMING CIRCULAL FIRING SQUADS FOR ONE ******* MINUTE COULD YOU PLEASE.
It really is like the Left wants to lose because it's more comfortable in after a loss moral victory then in an actual victory.
That doesn't even remotely follow from theprestige's post.
But like you say... I'm not surprised. There's a very strong tendency by several ISF posters to assume that any critique of pro-Dem rhetoric, or challenge to anti-Rep narrative means that the poster is a far-right Trump supporter.

We don't know what he believed concerning that. Also, having a SCOTUS decision behind you is different from suspecting, hoping, being pretty sure, or whatever Trump was believing about accountability.that would be a problem ...
if Trump had ever believes that he might held accountable during his first term.

That's not recent, it's a sixty year old issue. In the last decade or so I've noticed the one thing that seems to annoy Leftists, and I mean the progressive left and socialists, etc, more than any other thing is being called liberal.
There is this performative identity crap that goes on particularly online that does seem to lead to real consequences. People say online isn't real life go touch grass. I disagree. Whether we're taking progressives or Trumpers, online IS real life to the loudest people in politics.
It's about principles. They're so principled that they're not liberals (I'd say many of them technically are) they would even abstain from voting to prove it.
Utter BS.
Lefties have very practical, very clearly defined demands, and sooner or later they get them, usually a decade or two after they started making them.
Only then, conservative Democrats pretend it was their idea all along.
Who do you think advocated for same-sex marriage?
The "extreme" principles that Lefties want to be followed are weird things like the US following it's own laws about not giving weapons to groups shown to have committed war crimes.
Or demanding cops investigate rapes and wage theft.
Or billionaires and companies pay taxes.
Weird principles, I know.
