Hey, I'd have asked earlier if I noticed it. :( Would have sodding attempted to go if I could have. You've now gone to more skeptics outings than I ever have!! :D

Sorry guys! It's been awhile since I've checked in on the ol' Randi Site. Have you guys set a date or anything yet? I'm up for it pretty much whenever.

Quick note: I notice under Meetup.com, that there is a Tokyo chapter of Brights (which I joined up with; haven't decided whether to meet up with them this upcoming Monday or not)
 
Unfortunate as their choice in names is, if there are brights in Tokyo I'll probably check out a meetup...
 
Getting close to the meetup time; I've emailed a bunch of Tokyo-ites. We're looking at 3/25 for 3 people, unless we move it up to 3/24.
 
OK, we're meeting tonight at Mantra in Ikebukuro. Still no word recently from DeliveringVito, so it looks like it's just me and Kimpatsu.

Again, work duties have kept me away from this site for quite some time, but I'd be up for it assuming that I can find the time.

Klaymore, anybody's welcome. They've always been pretty informal little get togethers. Send a PM to bignickel as he seems to be organizing it this time around.
 
Actually, I've been in communication with Kitakaze a few months ago about a get-together... but now that I'm leaving, the date will be sometime soon.

PM me with your email addy. What restaurants you guys want to eat it would also be a good idea. If it was up to me, curry all the way.
 
Well, there was no feast this time around either, due to lack of interest.

If I ever I return back to Tokyo to visit, I'll throw out another line to see if anyone's interested. Until then, I'll be in St. Louis, Missouri, for interested skeptics who are missing thru the Gateway to the Midwest.

(I will mention before I leave this land that I wish I had mastered my Japanese language skills alot better: if there's any nation on Earth that really needs more discussion of critical thinking, it's Japan. No Skeptic magazine. No Skeptical Inquirer. No real discussions anywhere about science. Most of my students live in a society that uses the products of science more than any place on the planet, but still don't know much about it's methods. Wish I could have done something better for this place while I was around)
