In that sense he is like Jesus: he also never laughed. Some extreme Christian sects took this up and discouraged laughing in order to be like Jesus …

It already looks to me as if the Maga crowd has a problem with laughing - except of course if Donald cracks a bad joke.

1. Here (although, even then, he's almost kinda laughing at the thought of shooting an immigrant).

2. Here, too, although there's a glitch in the video, probably because the space-time continuum gets corrupted when he laughs.

I don't want to spend any more time looking for an actual laugh, much less a belly laugh, as I love life too much.
 
I feel the same way whenever something Trump does gets defended by his followers as "a joke."

When has Trump ever cracked and honest to God human joke? Not him laughing at someone else's misery or misfortune with that smug troll grin on his face but an actual joke?

Hell the number of times Trump has had anything resembling a normal human reaction to ANYTHING I can count on one hand.

So a guy walks into a bar... great bar... serves the best cocktails... Of course they had to raise the price with Biden in charge... Importing alcohol from Chi-Na... You wouldn't see that with me... Only the best American alcohol...

He chuckles at his own brilliance and if he had a mustache he'd likely twiddle it like Snidely Whiplash when he chortles at the thought of bloodshed and vengeance, but actual laughter, I suspect, is out of his range.

My guess is that any actual laughter that's occurred in his vicinity is covered by non disclosure agreements.
 
Ok...who here believes today's garbage coming out of Trump's mouth regarding Obama?

There are whole speeches of Hitler and Goebbels where their enemies are changed from A to B on a dime, even within a sentence. The whiplash change in tone is something to behold.

A Russian, Konstantin Kissin says Trump can do a deal where the reality noticing Russia has seized Ukrainian territory is strictly the best way forward.
He notes Russia must take this deal or face a massive arming of Ukraine by the USA.

I must say on rereading this could be construed as off topic, but the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East might be considered by some to be issues confronting the electorate.

JD Vance has been a terrible voice by saying he could not care less about Ukraine.
This is nonsensical, but he is not the candidate.

I would note that Harris seems robotic, Trump absolutely never so.
It may be better for the world to have a puppet in control backed by a powerful bureaucracy, I happily countenance that.

What I find more interesting is, why can we see where he is at all? Why are there only two guys in uniform standing behind him? He usually goes out of his way to have a whole TV screen full of 'supporters' behind him. Did they forget to post a local casting call a few days before?

Part of the problem with modern politics is exactly that far too many people prefer to choose performance art over substance. It's useful to know who those people are though.
