I think that this requires more detail to get any point you might have across beyond a general "all these people are bad" vibe.

With that said, a simple truth is that Trump was showing no concern for truth in what he said. It's just yet more of his BS as he flails around.

To be clear, it's possible that there's a small grain of truth to be found in his words, but the unreasonable spin and double standards that one would need to accept to treat his words as anything better than a terrible joke based on the contents negates any value there. It's pretty clear that it's far more dishonest than a terrible joke, though, given the larger context and usage.

He hasn't, afaics. A winning bet of £10 at 4/5 will return £18, or 180% of the stake. Ladbrokes actually use the word "Returns £18.00" when they report on the outcome of such a winning bet. Screenshot available, as I have an account with them and don't always lose ;)

The border crossings and arrests peaked in 2021. Have gone down 2022 and 2023. True trumpers still scream open borders. Governor Sununu and others still preach about "open borders" and terrible economy under Biden and now under Harris. Because she too must have caused it. Could not find the exact video I had yesterday on Threads. He is right about the polls after Labor Day having more meaning than even now.

Continuing on Sununu. He seems to be ignoring abortion and supporting Trump for his own libertarian purposes:
In July 2024, Trump told a right-wing Christian audience, "Get out and vote just this time. You won't have to do it anymore. Four more years it will be fixed. It'll be fine. You won't have to vote anymore, my beautiful Christians" and "You've got to get out and vote. In four years, you don't have to vote again, we'll have it fixed so good you're not going to have to vote". Sununu called this "a classic Trumpism" and "a hyberbolic point that it can be fixed as long as he gets back into office and all that".

I wonder if Swift will have any legal recourse to sue Trump over this.

I know this would partly fall under the concept of political speech (and as such might be protected). But she herself is not a political figure, and by posting the image suggesting Swift supports Trump, he is stating something that I am pretty sure is not true.
