Kamala Harris Election Campaign

"I'm an edgy little nihilistic who thinks nothing matters so anyone who cares about anything is really faking it" is a big part of a certain someone's personality, this isn't news.
There is a reason for the forum feature we're not allowed to discuss....

Yet another positive sign for Harris:

From: CNBC
Vice President Kamala Harris is catching up to former President Donald Trump on the number of voters who trust her handling of the economy...The monthly survey found that 42% of voters trust Harris on economic issues, one percentage point more than the Republican presidential nominee.

This poll may be an outlier. But still, after hearing polls for months on how "Trump is more trusted on the economy than Biden", seeing the democrats make some progress in eliminiating the republican's advantage on the economy is a good thing.

About Harris’ promises…

I’ve been hearing a lot of “That’s fine, but how is she going to implement/pay for this or that”. Which are valid questions. But from affordable child care to $35 insulin to expanding the ACA, I view these as “aspirational” goals. But most of those goals roughly coincide with my vision of a better, more equitable country. So, worth working towards even if the path proves difficult.

But “NOT Trump” is still the overpowering reason I’ll vote Harris.
I know an elderly diabetic, all her meds are free. I like that and I happily pay my taxes for it.
USAian healthcare and medicine are ****** up.

There’s a meme that says: “Universal health care is such a complex beast that only 32 of the world's 33 developed nations have been able to make it work.”

Admittedly, not all of those 32 developed nations have been able to make it work well. Great Britain in particular seems to have major issues.

But as I said, it should be aspirational to find a way towards it that works. Too many Americans can’t afford the care or medications they need, leading to poor outcomes down the road. Or even early death. Let’s at least try.

Great Britain's 'major issues' are that we had 14 years of a government trying to take apart universal healthcare and sell it to US companies.

Major issues with government often happen because conservatives want to make government programs not work. This way they can say "government doesn't work" and try to turn over those programs to private industries that just happen to give them money.

As said before, underfunding has been a key problem with the NHS. It still is very cost effective, and see my signature

Men and the size of things...

My gun is bigger
My car is bigger
My crowd is bigger
My wiener has the biggest mushroom
I too keep thinking this when Dump rants about crowd sizes. What a sad little insecure manchild.

(ofc not all men are insecure manchildren if that wasn't clear, but Dump certainly is)

Also, I love that his followers are showing up to his events less, and looking increasingly bored and disillusioned. Remember, the people attending his events are probably his most ardent supporters in whatever area he's in. If he can't even get them to be present and engaged, he's really struggling.

The UKs problems stem from successive English governments since the eighties trying to make the NHS run more like the US system.

THIS. I don;t think Harris will be able to do 50% of what she is promising but that does not matter. just about anything is better then Trump.

After few years, the act is getting old, I think.

That's true about every election with maybe the elections of maybe FDR, LBJ and Reagan. So much depends on the kind of coat tails she has.

You are right, sir!

What a strange peice:

Those are facts, not political spin, not mudslinging, not puerile insults, just sheer unadulterated facts.

The bothsidesism of the Times editorial policy is to polemically equate one side’s insane ravings with the other’s recitation of fact.

Full points to the trolls who have managed a takeover of this thread.

Trump obsesses about crowd sizes more than anyone.

Now he's peddling an easily disprovable claim of photo manipulation:

Trump claims Kamala Harris rally crowd is FAKE as he posts 'AI doctored photo' - but all is not as it seems

But there's independent videos that show the crowd is very much real. Looking at the photo is interesting. The surfaces are curved and the plane is probably angled relative to the camera.
He's priming the pump* of his supporters that Democrats are cheating/faking/stealing, so that he can continue the lie should election day not be his friend.

*"Have you heard that expression used before? Because I haven’t heard it. I mean, I just…I came up with it a couple of days ago and I thought it was good." - Donald Trump

Tell me he didn't say this.
