Tucker Carlson, on X:

Import the Third World, become the Third World. That's what we just saw. This won't stop Trump. He'll win the election if he's not killed first.
But it does mark the end of the fairest justice system in the world.
Anyone who defends this verdict is a danger to you and your family.

So that's how the Trumpists are gonna spin this, as an incitement for civil war.
I agree with the Montana fishing shop guy when it comes to Tucker...

I’ll be the first one to defend this verdict and our justice system. We have the fairest justice system in the world and I am proud of that.

According to Twitter the verdict gave Trump the election.

It also means the Civil War has officially started against the Libs.

Lindsey Graham says "I expect this case to be reversed on appeal and for Donald Trump to be elected president in November."

I didn't say that he wouldn't face any consequences. I laid out the three things that I want to see him face. And, with appeal, it's still possible this verdict could be overturned. And if you think that's unlikely, take a look at the makeup of the Supreme Court.

As far as I'm concerned, he hasn't yet faced SERIOUS consequences.

I'll believe it when it really happens it. All appeals fail. In the books. Signed, sealed, delivered.
Appeals won’t keep him out of prison on July 11, only the judge can do that.

Also, the big winner is the vindication of the rule of law. We have just proved absolutely that a former President can be held to justice and can even be found guilty. Even the ************ President. And it was 12 regular citizens who made the decision. The-God-who-isn’t-there bless the United States of America.

And it's not like the "Michael Cohen is a poopyhead" defense took a lot of effort.

But still, they took it to the extreme. Seriously, claiming that Cohen is the GLOAT while denying that Trump never had sex with Daniels strained credibility beyond repair.

How about a sentence of a week in jail (not like I don’t want like years and years):

Not too far away from sentencing guidelines.
Makes the point.
Probably won’t incite the civil war.

Meanwhile the forgone verdict has had the inevitable result of elevating Trump to hot favourite to win the election

4 to 5 on.
Biden 6 to 4
Trump twice as likely to win.

Ladbrokes.

Wrong. 4-5 is around 56%, 6-4 is 40%

Id say it like this: plenty of people get systematically screwed by our justice system, but if a former racist, wanna-be fascist President can be convicted, the system can be improved.

Cross multiply to get the percentage

30 to 16 means Trump almost twice as likely to win.

Of course some water to flow under the bridge yet.

Wrong. You have no idea what you're talking about regarding converting (UK) odds to %ages.

Google it, ffs

Apparently it's something to do with his 1A rights. And Merchan not wanting to give the slightest support for any appeals for bias in his courtroom management. Been discussed above at length.

Then again, I have seen plenty of those video clips of lower court judges in the USA handily slapping down mouthy defendants with fines and jail time. So it would have been delicious to see Donny get something similar.

But as Trump has said repeatedly, he's not being treated like a normal defendant. It's just that he's being treated better, not worse like he claims.

Twitter and ladbrokes? Really?

All the Trump mouthpieces are out there telling us how this is going to put Trump in the WH again. What else did we expect? That they'd suddenly turn on him and declare that this is going to hurt him and it was a fair trial? Hell, no.

The very fact that the GOP is standing behind this POS felon says all we need to know about how far the GOP has fallen. They're nothing but a bunch of sycophants and cowards who care more about staying in Dear Leader's graces than the country. Piss on 'em all.

Well, this should make for an interesting topic in the debate, anyway.

Biden can start every answer with, "Who was impeached twice, found liable for sexual assault, and was found guilty of 34 felonies? That guy"

Anyone know what the felony was in the end? The (normally a misdemeanor) fraudulent in-house records were to aid in covering felony xyz.
What was it?
