You assume correctly: I believe the evidence shows BARD that Trump committed a crime. As I do not believe a POTUS is above the law, he should be held responsible for his actions.

There is no "fake legal precedent" here. What there is are cultists who prove that Trump was correct when he said he could shoot someone in the middle of 5th Ave. and not lose a vote.
You should be encouraged by Alan Dershowitz from about minute 20 in this clip.

Social oblivion for any New Yorker who even accidentally enables a Trump presidency.
Lovely people.

I take it you hope for a guilty verdict in this disgraceful escapade purporting to be a fair trial. Be careful what you wish for by establishing fake legal precedents.

Fake precedents? New York has successfully prosecuted others for keeping false business records. So there are precedents for Trump's actions. The only thing Fake in that court room is Donald Trump.

  • Donald Trump said he didn’t have sex with Stormy Daniels. He did.
  • Donald Trump said he didn't make hush money payments to Stormy Daniels. He did.
  • Donald Trump said he did it to protect his family. But he clearly did it to save his campaign.
  • Donald Trump said he would testify. He didn't.

Now I would have preferred that Trump was being tried for January 6th or his malfeasance with classified documents. But Trump's Republican allies have prevented Trump being tried for those acts.

But there is no doubt that Trump committed this relatively petty crime. But Trump was elected president because he committed this petty crime.

So...the latest faux pas is Eric Trump saying yesterday in his courthouse speech, "We are going to win because we're white"

Some claim he really said "right" but ihe very clearly said "white"--the real question I have is was this a true Freudian slip? Subconsciously, does he believe their rich white privilege will be the determining factor in victory? I would not doubt that he might harbor such beliefs, but it is not completely clear to me whether he really was saying the quiet part out loud...

The jury deliberations are effectively stalled pending a ruling on the readback requests. The jury goes home while the parties argue what portions of the testimony should be read back in response to the request.

IIRC there are a couple of lawyers on the jury; does this make it more likely for them to ask for the info?

is it the he didn't do it version of witch hunt or he did it but it's not a crime version of witch hunt? because trump is on the i did it and it was a crime but i should be able to commit crimes if i want to version of witch hunt.
