You believe a person on X with 200 followers who posted a video that NO-ONE else has taken up as authentic? And you call me a conspiracy theorist.

Answer my question. What geometric references are you using to determine the slope of the floor in the two images? You're the one implying that at least one of the images is fake based on claims about their geometry that you have no way of proving. You're being fooled by a common optical illusion in which your brain interprets the camera's orientation based on your own equilibrioception.

And yes, you are a conspiracy theorist. You're doing exactly the same sort of flawed "analysis" based on assumptions that you are too ignorant of the subject to even understand you are making. Innumerable conspiracy theorists have done the same sorts of failed geometric proofs in Apollo landings denial, flat earth claims, Kennedy assassination nonsense, you name it. Just by assuming that the slope of the floor can be determined by its relationship to the image field of view you are proving how much you don't know about this.

I am not into social media memes.

You whine like a child every time someone points out that you're doing nothing more than conspiracy mongering. This clearly touches a nerve. Pointing out that you are a conspiracy theorist is not social media ephemera. It is a proper psychology term with a body of research beneath it, an accurate description of your behavior, and a proper shorthand to describe why your claims are unconvincing.

Merriam-Webster in particular is full of Americanisms missing meaning by a mile in its efforts to be hip and edgy.

And I'm not into your snobbery. I dare you to post the Oxford English Dictionary definition of "conspiracy theorist."

ETA: I will :—
OED said:
conspiracy theorist
* NOUN a person who believes that some secret but influential organization is responsible for a particular event or phenomenon:
The snobbery was just cover for the fact that you looked up a different word, and—not surprisingly—came away with a different definition. The more apt definition from the dictionary you accept as authoritative describes you accurately.

To discover the meaning of a word it is useful to follow the etymology.

Vixensplain, blah blah blah.

Please stop with the idea that this thread is anything to do with ridiculous 'conspiracy theories'.

Just as soon as you stop spewing conspiracy theories.

This guy, who only has 517 followers is the only other person I can find apart from @amy with apx 200 who has ever posted that video. Not one single journalist or broadcaster has contacted either of them to ask if they can use the media.

Which one of us is the conspiracy theorist that you willingly believe the above guy's video bona fide, despite zero take up by the mass media? You are even defending it.

I don't care how many followers he has. Can you explain what geometric references you used to establish the slope of the floor?

Hint: no, you can't.

Merriam-Webster is a dreadful dictionary.

Here is the Oxford English version:

"conspiracy
/kənˈspɪrəsi/
noun
a secret plan by a group to do something unlawful or harmful.
"she served five years in prison for taking part in a conspiracy to sell stolen art works"
Similar:
plot
scheme
stratagem
plan
machination
cabal
intrigue"

Bolding, mine.

You are quoting the definition of a different word. That is just about as dishonest and disingenuous as its possible to be.

I am not into social media memes. Too many people believe that calling people trendy names actually means anything. Merriam-Webster in particular is full of Americanisms missing meaning by a mile in its efforts to be hip and edgy.

To discover the meaning of a word it is useful to follow the etymology. Oxford Dictionary describes the meaning of 'conspiracy' perfectly. If we follow the history of the word, we discover the phrase 'conspiracy theory' was made popular following works of fiction by Robert Anton Wilson (The Illuminati Papers) or 'The Blood of the Grail' ('What if Jesus married and had descendants?', and swiftly followed by Dan Brown and his Da Vinci Code (ditto). All good fun, I am sure, but extending it to mean a commonplace press embargo on mundane government sensitive material is just as lazy as calling everyone you disagree with pathetic names, as if a thing becomes so because just because you are equipped with a phrase or word from social media that impresses you. Have at it.

In the meantime, people are perfectly entitled to speculate on what might have caused an accident and its effect. That is not the same thing as claiming, 'Zionists were behind 9/11', for example, as detractors try to make out. People have been speculating the cause of events since Adam and Eve.

GOSSIP <fx twitches curtain> Will you look at that? Him and her across the road in that thar 'Garden of Eden' have just been evicted by Him Upstairs!

GOSSIP #2: Nooooooo! I heard she was caught messing around with a snake and they wuz fermenting apples to make cider and getting right proper drunk...

Please stop with the idea that this thread is anything to do with ridiculous 'conspiracy theories'.

For someone who claims not to be a conspiracy theorist, you sure as hell tick a lot of these boxes....

In this case it's easier and quicker to find boxes you don't have to tick.
Maybe the Twitter/X box can be left alone.
The rest? Just shout BINGO!!! and you're done.

That would still leave, for example, "ludicrous conspiracy theories", "crazy conspiracy theories", "conspiracy theories you wouldn't dare show to a psychiatrist", and "Vixen's own conspiracy theories".

How can Australia possibly ever have snow if their latitude is so much lower than that of Finland? I mean, there's at least a 90 - 95, maybe even 100 degrees difference in latitude between Helsinki or other parts of Finland and Sydney.

I think 'Twitter/X' is close enough to 'Daily Mail reader comments' that we can allow it.

This could reduce a whole lot of typing here. Merely referencing column and row would be a suitable response to pretty much any of our protagonist's posts.

Except I do enjoy reading JayUtah's accurate and informative responses.

Seconded, as they say you don't have to be a rocket scientist to post here but.. [Checks Notes]

Who would have been around to gossip about Adam and Eve?
