Cont: Luton Airport Car Park Fire III

We have not been told the make, year and model of the vehicle concerned.

Ad hoc requirement that you simply made up.

All we have are catsmate and Foster Zygote claiming it is confirmed to be either a Range Rover Sport 2014 or a Range Rover Evoque. Yet neither can provide a citation.

Red herring. The power source of the car in question has been repeatedly reported by competent authority with the express purpose of ruling out any sort of electrical drive train. This seems to be sufficient for everyone except you.

Compare and contrast to the Liverpool Kings Dock ECHO car park fire of 2018.

Asked and answered. You are not competent to make any such comparison in a way that produces evidence. That doesn't stop you from assuming variously that no expertise is required, or that you have the required expertise.

Think about it. Which firm has just been awarded a massive payout from UK taxpayer money (a grant which does not have to be paid back) to develop EV batteries in the UK?

Assumes relevance not shown in evidence.

What is that is not blindingly obvious?

Because we're the ones thinking about it. You're just jumping to farfetched conclusions in contravention of evidence.

You agree with Darat then. Good, though you found a weird way to accept it. There was no vote.

The voting system meant he had the de minimis required of 100 votes so there was no point in having a further one. Anyway it is neither here nor there as far as this topic is concerned.

Yet again you embarrass yourself my misusing fancy language in an attempt to appear erudite.
de minimis - "too trivial or minor to merit consideration, especially in law.
"de minimis fringe benefit rules". e.g. a free coffee mug given to you by an employer is not considered significant for tax purposes, it's de minimis.

Either you don't know what a D-notice is or you're being melodramatic.

Considering we haven't had D-notices since 1993 and they were never legally enforceable anyway...

Oh, and the replacement for the replacement of D-notices, DSMA-notices, would not cover an issue such as a fire in a car park, regardless of whether the vehicle is an EV or ICE.

And it wasn't hard for me to find that out - around 3 seconds of gurgle fu.

But why let mere facts trouble us here? It's so much more fun just to make things up, isn't it?

That claim comes from an X tweeter named 'Amy' with 200 followers, showing a deep fake video, in which someone has inserted a suddenly readable numberplate.

The vehicle in the BBC one labelled 'Is this the vehicle?' (note question mark. And nota bene, any headline with 'could' or ends in a question mark, can be safely ignored) shows the back of the vehicle which shows a clear short form numberplate. As all vehicles are ANPR - numberplate digitally noted on camera - as they enter the car park, there is no explanation for failing to inform the public of the car brand other than censorship.

None of which matters, since the competent authorities have unambiguously stated that the car where the fire started was a diesel.

Do you have any shred of evidence which contradicts this? Any proof that the Fire Service is lying, or that there is any sort of cover-up?

De minimis as in least number votes required to pass the threshold.

ETA this should read 'supporters' as defined by Brady, meaning Tory MP's votes rather than party members'.

Figure of speech for news items that the press will not publish because of 'orders from above'.

You have read the report have you?

How do you discern cases of 'orders from above' from other explanations like 'not having that info at the time and not worth rehashing the story just to add it later'?

No, that's not what it means. I used that word earlier correctly, and now you're trying to look smart by reusing it—incorrectly. It's not merely a synonym for minimum. Instead it denotes specifically a reduction in qualitative complexity to arrive the simplest hypothesis.

Nobody can force you to understand, I suppose.

Anyway, Sunak received nominations, not votes. He stood unopposed, so no vote was required. Compare it to the monthly language awards that we often have here. That starts with nominations, a short list is drawn up, then ISF members vote for their preferred candidates.

The voting system meant he had the de minimis required of 100 votes so there was no point in having a further one.

Just to remind you, your claim was that there was a vote by the party members:
If you cannot see that the current UK Prime Minister is possibly the most corrupt of corruptist Prime Ministers of all, then nothing I can say can help you. When Sunak was elected by party members...

You do know that didn't happen in the real world?

Explains why you were wrong.

We all understand how the utter irrelevance of Vixen's false claim led her to dispute Darat's correction.

Figure of speech for news items that the press will not publish because of 'orders from above'.

A claim that a D-notice is in place is not a figure of speech, it is a particular and very specific claim, one that we know is wrong.

Or just making things up and hoping that no-one will notice, just like other claims about the Official Secrets Act and public sector workers.

Point of order, Vixen didn't specify public sector workers. Something to do with "the inherent concept of fealty", apparently.
