Donald Trump's bottomless pit of legal problems.

I don't see why the judge doesn't move Trump to another room where he can see the proceedings via a TV. He could communicate with his attorneys via mic/headphones. There's no need for this media attention action Trump continues performing.

If it were Ireland, he'd be participating via Zoom from the 'Joy with the judge controlling his mic, no matter who he was.

That's the link to the article that goes through each and all of her mistakes. It is a really funny read, she comes across as someone who has merely watched a few courtroom dramas on the telly. Her lack of preparation is also very telling of the quality of her work. By the way I am assuming since Trump has employed her that she is an attractive looking lady, one who Trump thinks wouldn't mind if he grabbed her pussy?

Big difference between T****y's idea of acctractive and what is attractive. You get people looking like Habba ten a penny, and unlike her they don't need to spend fortunes in cosmetic surgerty.

I do believe the way she dresses that emphasizes her breasts does indeed fit with his 'type'.

Trump likes attractive women beyond the large breasted blondes he married. I think Habba is more than attractive enough it played into his choice to have her sitting next to him in court and following him around in public. Clearly her demonstrated attorney skills and reputation played little role, if any, in his decisions about retaining council.

Also possible is the firm she works for (is associated with?) put her forward to Trump as one of their key lawyers. And from the looks of it they are all getting millions from whatever PAC I just read about that is footing the bill.

I cannot understand who is putting all this money up for his legal bills. I get it where some of it is coming from, but a bottomless pit?

Never mind, I forgot how good the first 4 years of Trump were for the millionaires and billionaires in this country.

As far as can be made out it's her firm. And it's definitely a penny-ante firm that has never argued a case as big as the T****y ones nor before a federal judge prior to her latest antics on his behalf.

I think Trump's funding for his legal cases is coming less from the millionaires/billionaires and more from the small fish/MAGAchud. "Trump says he needs our money because stealing classified documents is OK. Lets send him little Jimmy's college fund."

Tbh, Trumpers may not have college funds for their kids, or any aspirations for them to go for that matter.

If ourin' kids gits them summa that high-falootin', elitism ejumacation, then they won't be under-ejumacated an' Pres. Trump won't love 'em no more!

A by-product of Trump's New York asset inflation trial is that the monitor that was appointed to oversee Trump's finances apparently has discovered that Trump hid $48 million in taxable income. The $48 million was mostly from a loan to Trump that had been forgiven by the lender, which Trump should have been obligated to pay income tax on. The details of the scheme are above my paygrade.

My guess from the link:
with Jones writing that the massive sum — which Trump has claimed for years that he owes as a debt to one of his companies — never existed. ...

... it was a loan that was believed to be between Donald J. Trump, individually, and Chicago Unit Acquisition for $48 million," Jones wrote.

She added: "However, in recent discussions with the Trump Organization, it indicated that it has determined that this loan never existed — and thus that it would be removed from any upcoming forms submitted to the Office of Government Ethics (OGE) and would also be removed from subsequent versions of MAML," Jones wrote, referring to corporate financial statements filed by the company.
So he hides $48 million in income from the IRS calling it a loan from one of his gazillion LLCs he 'loses' other money through and eventually omits it from the account records until no one asks about it anymore.

Trump is going to be so sorry he ever ran for POTUS.

Certainly looks like that. My guess is that this will be referred to the DOJ and the IRS.

His children have to be thinking. "Thanks Dad."

More like if he hadn't let being POTUS make him more of a rectum than he already was. If he had confined his response to the 2020 election to merely convincing his supporters that he had been cheated without insurrectionizing, not taken classified documents, and reached an out-of-court settlement (potentially with the terms undisclosed) with Ms. Carroll, he might have emerged relatively unscathed and still been the 2024 nominee.

Trump has terrible instincts.

Trump keeps proving over and over again that he is a moron and or he's corrupt and terrified of being caught.

18 months ago Judge Engoron appointed retired Federal judge Barbara Jones to be a court appointed non-biased monitor of the Trump Organization. This was done because it appeared that the Trump Organization was trying to move financial assets from New York State LLCs to State of Delaware corporation, thus moving them outside the State of New York's grasp.

Her job was to monitor the financial transactions and accounting of the Trump Organization for the court until the trial ended. It wasn't to add value to the Trump Organization.

Barbara Jones sent to the judge a final report detailing errors and some questionable accounting including a possible illegal tax evasion scam known as "debt parking". Although she didn't say describe it as such.

In response, one of Trump's attorneys sent a letter to Judge Engoron attacking the monitor. It said she only sent her report in to Engoron so she could continue to be able to charge the Trump Organization exorbitant fees. Never mind that Engoron was certainly waiting for a final report from the monitor.

The letter went on to say that questioned Jones' competency as she only found minor errors? Does that mean if the monitor was really doing her job she would have uncovered the financial scams that they were perpetrating under her nose? I mean seriously, why attack her for finding what they describe as only minor errors? Why not say, "we genarally agree with her report and it demonstrates that a financial monitor is not needed."

What I find interesting is that nowhere in this letter to Engoron does it address this phantom 50 million dollar loan.

Trump proves again that he doesn't know how to be circumspect. He runs his mouth before he engages his brain.

As T****y is fond of saying "Brain and brain! Whatis brain?"

what you're seeing is the house of cards collapsing. once it starts to fall, it comes down pretty quick.

I wonder if Melania's going to pull the plug when Barron turns 18 in March. She might as well get out while there's still some money left.

She probably thought she had bad deal when he became president - she signed up to be eye candy not a working woman!

By all accounts she doesn't exactly spend much time with Trump.

The issue of "How does Trump pay his lawyers" has come up in various threads here.

Well, we now know where at least some of the money comes from.

From: Reuters
Hotelier Robert Bigelow told Reuters on Tuesday he gave Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump $1 million for his legal fees and agreed to donate another $20 million to a pro-Trump outside group for campaign purposes.

Once again proving you can be rich and an idiot at the same time.

She certainly doesn't come across as a loving and supportive wife. She's just not a good enough actress to pull it off.
