Why I should vote for Trump?

It will be interesting to see how Chris spins this as anything but Trump saying presidents are above the law...if he bothers to respond at all.

MAGAhood is like life on the other side of the looking glass. Everything is reversed: not just concepts, but appearances too. From there, all looks changed, changed utterly / and a preposterous beauty is born. (Yeats won't come and get me. Will he?) Odd, the way MAGs are simultaneously dangerous and laughable.

Says the person happily supporting genocide in Gaza and Ukraine. I knew there were perspective issues among Biden supporters but this one is a doozy!

What Genocide in Ukraine does Craig4 support sorry? Pretty sure he's very strongly anti Russia.

How about extending that immunity to agents acting directly under orders from the POTUS? *

Then Biden would have an opportunity to make a lot of people happy should Trump win the next election.

* Come to think of it, there is no need for the POTUS to have full immunity. He can just grant a full pardon to anybody who didn't (nudge, nudge, wink, wink) get orders from the President.

Maybe the slaughter of those poor unfortunate members of the Russian Army, the Donesk militias and the Chechens ?

I suspect that the MAGA narrative is that President Trump would quickly negotiate a peace in Ukraine whilst Biden, in his support for Ukraine, is prolonging the war - and thus he is a supporter of genocide.

Just look at these vermin. Behold the face of a traitor.
The deeper issue is that there exists an entire "media" ecosystem of right-wing businesses, think tanks, and strategy groups designed to publish a torrent of outright fictions that keep individuals like that thinking the way they do. (For example Sean Hannity publicly trying to blame "Antifa" as the REAL cause of the riots on January 6 while privately complaining to the outgoing Trump administration that the riots they provoked would be causing negative political consequences for the GOP) The MAGA cult is merely the latest incarnation of that propaganda network. Unless we can find some means of getting these people to engage with the rest of society or to think critically about the rhetoric they're being spoonfed, the problem is only going to get worse.

You know, I really dislike Trump, and I can't properly express how much I don't want them to be an option in the next election.

That said, I think you've got this wrong. I doubt Trump would negotiate a peace. But I do think that Trump would actually send a direct military presence to Ukraine, and make much more direct and immediate threats against Russia than Biden has done. Trump isn't more peaceful than Biden, they're more aggressive.

Which isn't always a bad thing, regardless of my personal views toward the individuals.

You think he would threaten Russia? Dude, Trump has been looking for an excuse to stab Zelinski in the back since his first impeachment. Bare minimum he would cut off the flow of US arms to Ukraine.

Trump used a drone strike to assassinate a Saudi person who was involved in terrorism. Regardless of whether I like or trust Trump, I do think they would favor direct involvement over secondary aid. Even if Trump dislikes Zelinsky, I don't think they like Putin any moreso, certainly not enough to hand Russia an expansionist win.

But your opinion may vary. I'm not a mind reader, neither are you, it's all just speculation.

He has already accomplished that by letting it be known to Congress its his wish, without even being elected yet. If he is elected, that will of course continue, and with the addition of threatening any countries who do continue to support Ukraine.

If Trump wanted US aide to continue to Ukraine, he's one TruthSocial post away from making it happen.
