The Republicans in Congress want Bennie Thompson to turn over the passwords for the deleted January 6th Files.
I don't think he will ever do that, because the January 6th committee promised the Information would be kelpt completely Confidential and not turned over to Insurrectionists in Congress.
They are just playing it into a Conspiracy theory which will fail.
 
Trump keeps claiming Jan 6th evidence was destroyed. I wonder what Jan 6th evidence the GOP legislators hope to uncover with "passwords" if the evidence has been destroyed?

It all sounds like BS.
 
It's a win/win/win for the Republicans.

If the passwords are not forthcoming or simply don't exist then It's grist to the conspiracy mill.

If they exist and there's no documents then it's partial validation of the conspiracy claims.

If there are some documents then it's full validation.

There's no outcome that doesn't work for the Republicans. :mad:

Actually it's what the January 6th committee promised, all Information would be Kelpt confidential to prevent Retaliation from Insurrectionist now sitting in Congress!

If Republicans actually get the information it only proves Republicans could have stopped the Coup at anytime by stopping Trump.

Exactly if they come after my testimony to the January 6th committee they can pry this pad out of my cold dead hands and they still will not get though my six level double encryption.
All they are is courpt.

So, do these files exist or were they deleted? If they were deleted then why shouldn't anyone have these passwords to empty files?

If they weren't deleted, why can't the GOP wingnuts have access?

Internet seems to indicate that the only reason to believe anything was deleted is that a Republican has said so. What passwords are we talking about?

Loudermilk's a big Trump supporter and said he wants to "get to the bottom of what really happened" on Jan. 6. IOW: he wants to whitewash it.

'We are investigating what really happened on January 6 and how were these people — whoever they were — how were they able to get into the Capitol? What was the security failure?,' Loudermilk told Fox News.

'Because the American people have a right to know what happened. My main goal is to get the truth out there and give the American people the ability to make their own determination on this with facts — not with preconceived ideas or pre-determined narratives — but just the facts of what happened,' he added.

The Georgia conservative accused the Democratic investigation into the riot as trying to 'prove something that they wanted to be the truth.'

He went on to say that liberal's 'cherry-picked' evidence and omitted things that contradicted their narrative.

'Look, I'm not here to vindicate anyone. But we want the truth to prevail,' Loudermilk said.

I also looked for any confirmation that files were deleted and then recovered. The only source I can find is Loudermilk's say-so.
