If it gets Hamas out of Gaza, that would be a good thing, no?

Given Israel alternately bombing and starving the civilian population I don't think it makes much difference.

Hamas' Head of Political and International Relations told Sky News that no civilians have been killed by them.

Ah, the old "They committed atrocities so it's cool for us to commit a bigger atrocity line.

Nice.

The Atheist, could you get rid of that avatar?

Nah, I'm good.

I'll drop it when the "people" waving Israeli flags drop theirs. All's fair in love and war amirite?

The IDF figures may be propoganda but they are all we have for the number of active service Israeli military killed by Hamas. I am inclined to believe them, you can choose to think IDF figures are just propaganda.

IDF figures for Israeli casualties are probably reasonably accurate, but that was never what I was contesting. You claimed you had IDF figures for Hamas militant casualties. I still haven't seen those. Those still might as well have been pulled out of your ass.

The Washington post points out Gaza health ministry casualty figures have always been accurate in the past

Bwahahahahaha!

No. We just saw the Gaza Health Ministry (which is a branch of Hamas) pull a 500 casualty figure from its ass for a hospital that was supposedly hit, when in fact it was a parking lot. The Washington Post believed that lie uncritically at the start. Why would I take their word for how reliable Hamas is?

So I am prepared to accept these figures.

I don't care if YOU are prepared to accept whatever figures you're using (which, again, you never actually specified). You don't set the standard for believability.

Ben Freeman writes his opinion about Jewish Pride being more important than ever these days (he addresses it directly to the Jewish audience) --
"Love our cultures and our traditions. Love our humor. Love our food. Love our diversity. Love our emphasis on learning and dialogue. Love our people. And, most of all, love our commitment to the continuation of Jewish life."

New threat from Iran that if Israel continues it's attacks on HAMAS in Gaza, the US will "not be spared".
I know Iran loves it militant rhetoric, but I got a sick feeling this time it will happen.

They have clearly defined goals (Maximize power, destroy Israel) and construct somewhat sophisticated plans to provoke maximum carnage, in order to demonize and isolate Israel on the world stage, while terrorizing their own population into cowed submission. Sounds more like barbaric sociopathy than rabies to me.

Politics makes really strange bedfellows.

Fact is for long time The Hard Left has been carrying the water for Islamic Extremists.
Guess they see them as slighly misguided Revolutoinareis.

Two state is a pipe dream. Hamas won't secede. Israel won't be able to kill them. Not the leaders who are not even in Gaza. Netanyahu hopefully will be replaced, but only by someone very similar to him. Nobody does have a solution.
And there is still possibility of Hizballah stepping in, then Iran, then US.China attacks Taiwan the next day, North Korea attack Japan, nukes flying before Sunday.

That is one hell of a leap to make. CHina simply does not have the necessary lift to invade Taiwan. That is a couple of years off.

Sometimes you have to break an omelette, or something...

Anyway, the US has a terrible track record of backing down and rethinking its aggressive policies, when attacked at home.

As much as some Republicans would hate to admit it, Biden has not backed down from either Russia or Iran so far in his presidency.

Does Iran wanna actually unify the American people towards a common cause and get invaded? Cause terrorism in our country is quite possibly the only way to accomplish that.

I'm happy to admit. I'm also happy to go back to my previous post and add a "/s", so people don't get the wrong idea.

A direct attack by Iran on the US, for any reason, would pretty much guarantee an existential crisis of historic proportions. For Iran.

Yeah, because I totes support teh terrorists dude!

Yes, in fact you do. Perhaps not intentionally, but still in effect.

When in the real, non-logically fallacious world, I take great pains to elaborate that Hamas, Taliban, the Iran leadership, Xi, Putin and all the other filth disgust me every bit as much as Netanyahu and his Yahoos.

And many of the WW2 pacifists didn't like Hitler. Yet they were still objectively pro-fascist.

Possibly a more relatable analogy:

Lots of people don't like Trump but enable him anyway.

To all those horrified by the death and destruction in Gaza, know that the bombing could be stopped tomorrow. All the Palestinians need to do is recognize and accept Israel as a Jewish state, lay down their arms and pledge to move forward in a spirit of brotherhood and reconciliation to the benefit of all.

These are the same things they could have done 50 years ago.

Yeah, "just shut up and give us your land" has worked out so peacefully throughout history.
