Maybe, you know, hearing the accusers actual ******* voices, not actresses reciting their words. Corroborating circumstantial evidence. Witness corroboration. Forenisc evidence. Little ******* details like that.

Sure, that would be nice, but it's hilariously unrealistic on several levels. You do know that a whole lot of rape accusations don't have those things, right?

In the US and UK, the word "government" has different meanings. In the US, everyone whose salary is paid by the government (the taxpayer) is part of "the government" which would naturally include every member of congress. In the UK, "the government" is formed by the ruling party or the ruling coalition and means the various ministers including the Prime Minister and all the other Ministers. So not all members of parliament, nor even all those in the ruling party in parliament are part of "the government" even though their salary comes from the taxpayer. Those who aren't are called "back benchers".
