Merged Tucker Carlson acted with reckless disregard /Tuckered out at Fox News

That's certainly something that happens often, but Tucker had access to a very large audience while the Fox primetime host. I really doubt that much of his popularity at the time was artificial.

Without Fox he's just another reactionary loudmouth, which are common as dirt these days.

When you're a human fascimilie like Tucker is, you should always buy the instant bestseller insurance.

Maybe, but I wouldn't assume it.

The Fox News primetime slot is a ready made audience that's pretty large and pretty motivated to buy crap like this. It really seems to me that Carlson severely miscalculated how much of his success was due to his own personality rather than the inherent popularity that comes with this coveted Fox News timeslot.

Pivoting to Twitter, of all places, seems a further miscalculation considering most of his audience were the kind of decrepit boomers that still have cable TV subscriptions and that seems like a demographic least likely to follow him to a shoddy web-streaming based venture like Twitter.

But then again the Fox demographic isn't one that reads. You're looking at maybe a couple of hundred books bought per million viewers, if it even reaches three figures. Doesn't matter how many fans you have if they won't buy your books even after they are remaindered.

I don't understand. He's not at Fox anymore, that's almost certainly why the sales are poor.

I don't even know where I'd see that interview unless I looked for it online somewhere. I'm not sure I want to subject myself to that or the debate, live as broadcast. I have no doubt the pertinent moments will be snipped and played ad infinitum for the next few days.

When you've got nowhere else to go, it's back to basics - ie. the bottom of the barrel.

Apparently Tucker Carlson had a show featuring who else but Larry Sinclair, who was once the darling of the unhinged far right with his claims that he used to be President Obama's gay lover.

The Young Turks covered it. An interview today goes for an hour. I bet no one makes it to the end.

This is pretty pathetic. Real "I'm having Bigfoot's baby" level of content, pure checkout counter tabloid stuff, and all this about a guy who hasn't been president nor particularly relevant since 2016.

Damn Tucker, what are you doing?

Are they actually interviewing Sinclair or taking the story seriously?

I heard about 5 minutes of an interview with tucker before I stopped listening. But he's playing his concern off as though he cares that the media covered this up.

At best its a one former crack addict making a claim. Why would anyone take this seriously.

The fact that this low-life had the most popular show on FOX tells us all we need to know about the average FOX viewer.

My reaction to the Larry Sinclair thing:
1. He's lying.
2. Even in the extremely unlikely event that he's telling the truth, who cares?

I saw the Carlson interview. His only effort to corroborate Sinclair's crap was, "He passed a lie detector test." I don't think I need to explain in this forum how little that means.

ETA: I wonder if his next move will be to try to revive the birther conspiracy theory. Not that it ever completely died among Tucker's followers.

Did Tucker say he passed? Becuase I heard he said he took a lie detector test.

Tucker didn’t mention he failed.
