The Apologetic of "not all christians"

I have just had a thought that made me laugh for a bit.

This wily but despicable apologetic ruse that many christian apologists use to defend their blind faith...

Every time an atheist points out the sordid turpitude in the Christian theology or tenets or fairy tales or practices or politics or beliefs....

The apologists scurry to jump in to retort that not all christians do that or the other.

Which is of course just another way of reframing the fallacy below... And then they proceed to attack the person of the atheist for daring point out the ignobility of the christian theology.

That's no no true Scotsman. Again you show that you don't even understand what it really means. By that logic, if a racist pointed to an assault committed by a black person, and someone countered that most black people aren't like that, it would be a NTS fallacy. A NTS fallacy only applies to people making blanket generalizations about X, who, upon being shown contradictory examples of X, claim that they don't count because they aren't real X. For any of us to have committed a NTS fallacy, we'd have to have claimed that no Christians ever behave aggressively, and then dismiss examples of aggressive Christians as "no true Christian".

The guy didn't look like he was improving himself by using the same word over and over. In fact, he looked quite idiotic and annoying. That was the point. Certainly, he didn't look like he had a good vocabulary. That would entail using a variety of expressions, with very little repetition of pretentious and awkward sounding words. Ya dig me, Pygmy?

Now that that's sorted, it's OK to use simpler words, like "hot", especially when they're part of a common metaphor like "hot under the colar". No one thinks it shows your excellence if you change it to "torrid under the colar", or "searing under the colar". It doesn't actually make your posts look any better when you deploy your thesaurus on all the short words.
