Faces Of Meth

If I were to say that the last girl is hotter "after," that would be wrong, right?

It's not that bad...

First one: looks like he shaved his mustache a bit and then trid to hump a bee hive. At some point he also got a hair cut.

Second one: oh my, that one is very dramatic. She looks like she aged 30 years.

Third one: Just looks like the guy grew a horrible mustache and forgot to comb his hair

Fouth one: Am I the only one that thinks she looks better in the after picture?

Edited to add: no on the fourth one, I guess I'm not the only sicko. Thanks Manny.

If you click on the free poster near the bottom of the page, there are a couple more Before and After not featured on the web page. The more dramatically changed woman is the central feature on the poster.

I gather both the before and after photos are mugshots, so they were not in good shape to start with.

I don't know. I've seen my share of meth addicts, though, and I can believe it.

And propaganda isn't always a lie. :)

No doubt, but anti-drug propaganda has often been so full of BS you could fertilize Russia with it. It's impossible for me to take it seriously anymore.

And that's the whole problem I have with DARE propaganda. It creates contempt for the idea that drugs are bad.

And drugs ARE bad.

I don't have access to the source anymore; but I read a study a few years back that determined that illegal drug use actually increases in communities with major investment in the DARE program. There's so much blatant misinformation that even children, let alone teens, are able to see through that it rapidly loses credibility; and even the useful, factual information is discounted.

I applaud them for not throwing out the bad data. The chick that got hotter that is. Doesn't really prove their point.

"Drugs are bad. Except for taking of those last 10 pounds and turning yourself into a hottie. Maybe try some meth for that."

Do you remember who did the study? Or the title? Perhaps it can be found on the web. It sounds like an interesting read.

Run your cursor over each photo to see Before and After. In real small script on the After photos, you will see how much time had elapsed from the Before photo.

We have this on the wall at work, that someone printed out , pretty gross. The wierdest thing I have geard that meth heads do is to spray themselves with the anhydrous amonia in a process called juicing. I don't know what the intent is as it can burn the skin.

I don't know about the DARE program, but we had a friend who got hooked on meth. He lost a ton of weight, turned so white it was spooky, and started losing his teeth. Then he died.

I doubt the weight loss was worth it.

The real problem is that DARE is a very useful gang exit tool that was co-opted in the war on drugs. It was not meant to stop drug use but to give young adults the cognitive skills to leave a gang when they decided they wanted to.

(Some drugs are useful but they should be used under the supervision of a doctor, after alcohol the most commonly abused drugs are other people perscriptions.)
