ChatGPT

Overall, the opening credits of The Bed Sitting Room are a reflection of the film's absurdist and satirical style, and they serve to signal to the audience that they are in for a highly unconventional and unconventional viewing experience.

That is highly redundant and redundant.

Apologies if this has been addressed before, but IIUC, ChatGPT uses a language model, generating sentences based on probability, with no regard to actual facts,

It most certainly produces text based upon "facts", or more specifically datasets, that it has been trained on. I don't know where you got the impression of otherwise.

I've managed to break it - unintentionally. Was asking it about a quote from a novel - it confused one character with another, then came back with the character in the wrong book in the series of novels. Had quiet series of back and forth telling it that it was incorrect, after about 6 incorrect responses and exchanges I asked it the following and it came back with an Err.

I think I've been seeing that too over the weekend, it seems to error-out if I pause more than 20 seconds, and I have to copy-and-paste my text into a restarted session from the archive-- quite annoying. Now it has lost all archived sessions and says "check back soon". I assume it's overloaded.

My interactions have demonstrated that ChatGPT...

* Writes decent SQL
* Writes decent Salesforce scripts
* Has commanding knowledge of the characteristics of Elmer Fudd and The Tasmanian Devil

... with minimal prompting.

I got the “check back soon” too, and it continued all day, but when I logged out and in again, my saved chats were back. Now I have learned to save the most interesting chats elsewhere.

It's back for me too. Yep, never trust computers, and especially not other people's computers.

And it looks like they've been working day and night training it in Thatcher portraiture:

Step 6: Add the signature pearls using asterisks:

If you had asked who that was before telling us, I absolutely would have said Margaret Thatcher, with pearls, in her exploded head phase.

They recently unveiled and released the GPT4 version of ChatGPT which besides general improvements, such as having bigger datasets for learning, has new features like being able to describe the content of images.

Describing what you've done is not the same thing as doing what you describe, though. If you accurately report all the characteristics of an image of a person with six and a half fingers, there has to be something to explain what's wrong.

I asked ChatGPT to write some poetry:

* Write a haiku about transistors:
Electricity flows,
Transistors amplify it,
Technology grows.

* ... Stegosaurus:
Ancient plates and spines,
Stegosaurus roamed the Earth,
Prehistoric time.

* ... The Origin of Species:
Darwin's great opus,
Species evolve through ages,
Nature's grandest plan.

*... the Xhosa language:
Clicks and tones unite,
Xhosa language, rich and proud,
Echoes Africa's might.

*... Lord Cardigan:
Bold Cardigan charged,
Misunderstood his command,
Valiant, yet ill-famed.

*... Thimpu:
Thimpu, mountain town,
Nestled in the Himalayas,
Serene and profound.
