The Russian Invasion of Ukraine Part 4

Sanctions and messaging seem to be having an impact. There's a mass exodus from Russian by the people Russia most needs to stay. The educated, business owners, workers in the tech sector are the ones leaving. Each one who leaves has an outsized impact on the Russian economy. The more who leave the harder it is to rebuild their military, survive sanctions and prevent economic collapse.

I expect this will have an impact on Russian morale in Ukraine. Instead of being supported on the home front, those with the means are escaping and leaving their soldiers behind.

OPERATION Z – DON’T INTERRUPT

Larry C. Johnson said:
One of Napoleon’s observations is that you should never interrupt your enemies when they are making a mistake. Russians know this, not least because they were careful not to interrupt Napoleon himself in 1812. Putin and his team have had plenty of opportunities to meet NATO’s leaders, observe them, negotiate with them and assess them. It’s unlikely they’re very impressed. But when they started their “special military operation” in Ukraine they could never have dreamed how self-destructive NATO would be.

What mistakes? First, the West has not shot itself in the foot with its economic sanctions – Hungary’s Viktor Orban is right when he observes that it has put a slug into its lungs. One can still limp along with a broken foot, but a shot to the lungs is pretty serious. Second, who in Moscow could have imagined that NATO would shovel its ammunition and weapons stockpiles into the Ukrainian black hole in the expectation that if they can get the latest wonderwaffe to General Steiner they’ll be in Moscow by Christmas.

A good reason for Moscow to take it slowly – let the mistakes develop, compound and metastasize. It’s happening by itself. Naturally, inevitably, logically. No outside effort required. An unexpected bonus.

Don’t interrupt.

Consider Germany, “the engine of Europe“. It stands on one thing – the reputation of German engineering and quality – Mercedes/Miele/Bosch, they may cost more but they’re cheaper in the long run because they’re so well made. No Western country manufactures much these days but Germany still does. [...]

The only outright documented mistakes I've seen have been on the part of Putin, starting with the foolish belief marching his pathetic army into Ukraine would be some kind of cakewalk, then following it up with a world wide, live demonstration of what an epic pile of junk that same army has turned out to be. Sure, given the available artillery they have/had they have managed a good level of death and destruction so they can claim a ruin as the prize and just provides proof of their depravity.
And here you are cheering them on like their lies and propaganda have any value to those reading this thread, whatsoever.

I like the way he slyly invents the idea that the West is rearming Ukraine with the intention of invading Russia, simply in order to laugh at such a plan. But I guess when things are going so very badly and there's absolutely nothing to laugh about you have to invent something you can make fun of.

They should organise a few more of those gigantic fireworks displays they're so good at; those always cheer people up.

I am sure an infantryman is going to enjoy humping a drone around with him in addition to the other gear he is already carrying.

Sci Fi gaming.

Us Infantrymen currently ‘hump’ around all manner of gear they do not enjoy carrying. A light, armed UAV is not fundamentally heavier or in any meaningful way different than the basic load for either a SAW gunner or a Javelin gunner, pr for that matter the two 60mm mortar rounds every US light infantryman hauls.

The idea of an infantry unit being equipped with armed light UAVs isn’t remotely far-fetched. Whether or not Ukrainian units do so depends only on their availability during the current conflict.

So what piece of equipment does the squad leave behind to carry a toy aeroplane?

Maybe the SAW or the mortar?

Why would anything like that be a squad level weapon?

Whatever, it isn't going to be a system used in this war.

Remember that you know all about the "failure" from a war party, "western" corporate media. There is nothing else you know except the information I'm gracious enough to offer you.

Here is the link to Alina's videos of the laughable Australian "armored vehicles". https://t.me/neuesausrussland/8088. 179,700 views btw. The German-langage version you can find straight above has only 55,7 thousand views.

Just as I suspected. That vehicle which the boys and the girl from the RuAF are showing off as a Bushmaster (they are doing that, aren't they?) is actually not a Bushmaster.

From the video. For the blind, pay good attention to the two doors:

Here the rear view of a Bushmaster of the AFU. It isn't a good shot per se, but it is undeniably that which Ukraine is using. Plus, you can see, that there is only one door:

This image was taken from Ukraine Weapons Tracker. I downsized it a little Link:https://twitter.com/UAWeapons/status/1539726247655260161

Here is the rear view of a Bushmaster somewhere else:

Here we can see a Basecap-Boy from the RuAF open a door on the right side of that vehicle from the video:

Now a picture from the right side of a Bushmaster vehicle. Curious thing is, that there is no door where Basecap-Boy opens one:

In conclusion, I have to say that you are being lied to. By those who made those videos, likely by those who 'star' in it and by those who posted it to that Telegram Channel of yours.

In a previous post I showed you some better sources. The choice is yours.

That's your assumption. We don't know. In the Donbass situation it seems like nobody did survive.

Wikipedia:
"On 29 May 2022, there was a video confirming the destruction of one Bushmaster by Russian troops in Trypillia, Donetsk.[98] The driver of another Bushmaster who was close to the attack when it happened praised the quality of the vehicle, saying everyone survived the attack.[99]"

FWIW

From Wiki -

He is best known for spreading a hoax in 2008 that Republican operatives had a videotape of*Michelle Obama*complaining about "whitey".[1]

There's no point putting up those links. They insist on being opened in Telegram. I'm not going to give Putin my phone number.

I have used this one:
https://telewebgram.com/

Did not allow me to go the the posted videos directly. But I found them eventually in that channel. But it is hardly worth it. They are mainly showing the rear, while blathering a lot. Once you get a short glimpse at the right side of the vehicle, which I showed above. Then they film the inside of the vehicle; it is not too tidy, and fairly run-down TBH.

They are not showing a lot of the vehicle. They are lying with the words they utter and with the images that they show. And they know it.

Then what is it? And why does it matter what it is? It is spoils of War that Alina and I couldn't care less about the specific origins. The junk you sent to the Ukraine is actively destroyed by the Russians.

The first MLRS have arrived in Ukraine. From Newsweek:

A Ukrainian official announced Friday that new rocket launchers sent from the West had arrived to the country's military forces. The heavy weaponry should bolster Ukraine's defense, and comes soon after a Russian military expert publicly expressed concern about such armaments being supplied to the country.

Oleksii Reznikov, Ukraine's defense minister, tweeted that Ukraine's military had received a M270 Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS). His post didn't state which country had sent the weapons, but the United Kingdom announced in early June that it was sending an unspecified amount of the launchers to Ukraine.

I meant to say that the article's wording suggests that only one M270 has arrived, but the actual statement from the Ukrainians, and other sources, seem to indicate that more than one has been delivered.

Why is this a topic of discussion. Things go boom in war. Russians are destroying Ukrainian equipment, including equipment sent by the West. Ukrainians are destroying (quite a bit) more Russian equipment, in part using equipment sent by the West. If CE wants to gush over one destroyed IFV, let him. He needs something to cling to, after all.

Then what is it?

I have posted you some links. Maybe you can identify it?

And why does it matter what it is?

Not surprising that you would 'ask' such a rhetorical question. You are being lied to. And you don't even care.

Russian losses:
"Russia - 4747, of which: destroyed: 2929, damaged: 103, abandoned: 333, captured: 1382"

And keep in mind, these are only documented losses of the RuAF.

I'm not sure everyone is properly appreciating what we're seeing here. This is, IMO, the most epic goalpost-move in history.

According to this, Russia's invasion of Ukraine is a 'win' for Russia as long as Moscow doesn't fall within 10 months of Russia's initial attack.

By that standard, Germany's invasion of Russia in WWII was a 'win' for Germany.

Welcome to the future. Small drones of various sizes have a tactical value and are being deployed. In the case of the marines, they reorganized their squads to have a tech guy as part of the squad.

Speaking from the POV of somebody who was an infantry officer, yes, these are useful.
