The attempts at witnesses influencing need to be exposed...who are they? I've no doubt "the person" in the second example was Trump himself. Mafia-speak for "lie to protect me or else".
 
This explains why Trump did not show up to the Capitol. He wanted to stay true to his word, but the Deep State intervened in order to thwart the will of the people.
 
I continue to be astonished that no one has produced audio tapes of Trump in the WH. There are reports that staff were required to secure their cell phones before they met with him, but there are recorders that are tiny and concealable, and some don't even look like recorders.

After all, in a Country filled with AR-15 rifles you'd think any serious effort at insurrection would arm everyone to the teeth with assault rifles and ammo. That's what I'd do."

Clearly, we now know this is wrong.

1. The National Security Advisor was worried about the potential for violence early in December 2020, and the FBI and the USSS had intelligence from emails and texts between members of the Proud Boys and between members of the Oath Keepers that, rather than counter protesters being the target as in previous protests, the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers were planning to "occupy Federal buildings" and force entry to the Capitol Building. The fact that they were filmed all around the Capitol Building in the morning before The Fat Orange Turd commenced his speech.

2. There were a significant number of people carrying weapons, including Glocks & AR-15s, and protesters were seen attaching sharp implements such as knives and spear tips to their flagpoles

3. The Fat Orange Turd demanded that people coming to the Ellipse not be made to walk through the metal detectors because they were not her to don hi any harm. He became angry when USSS refund to comply with his request.
Note: Would he have done this if Antifa had really been there as he and his minions keep claiming?

4. It was clear that The Fat Orange Turd was desperate to march down to the Capitol with a whole bunch of protesters that HE KNEW were armed with firearms and other weapons.

Ms Hutchison, while not a real "blockbuster" witness in the same vein as John Dean in the Watergate hearings, she has nonetheless given a lot of context and detail to what was revealed in the last five hearings, and I expect it will do the same for the hearings to come. Some of her testimony was explosive, including that relating to Meadows indifference to what was happening in the days leading up to Jan 6, and on the day itself, and the physical altercation over the steering wheel of the Presidential vehicle, as well as his temper tantrums, throwing plates of food at the wall, and clearing the contents of dinner tables onto the floor. It was stunning!

The Fat Orange Turd, Giuliani, Meadows and others knew EXACTLY what was going to happen on Jan 6 well in advance.

ALready been nicknamed Ketchupgate because of the plate throwing incident.
SOmetimes a little thing can tell you more about a person then the big things. That the POTUS was behaving like a spoiled five year old tells you all you need to know.

I would give him one month after the end of the commitee for the DOJ to charge him. If nothing happens, Garland should be fired and someone else put in.
Problem with Garland is he sitll thinks he is a judge. He is not, he is a de facto DA. (I now the title is attorney general, but the job duties are pretty much those of a DA).

Side note - Depends on how rational their assessment of the actual threat posed by antifa on that front is. For all the actual problems that are associated with antifa, they tend to pose extremely low risk when it comes to attempted murder and similar crimes. It wouldn't be hard to think that risking it was well worth the gamble, especially in the extremely likely case that it would fail, badly, even in the highly unlikely case that some antifa person tried. Trump likely wanted more chaos, overall, regardless, to give justification for harsher measures.

Why let those crooks off when as it turns out there are probably lots of 'staffers' who were witness to the debacle?

Seems the more upset Drumpf became the more careless he got. Add to that the more he repeated his Big Lie and his plan fed to him by the likes of Clark and Eastman, the bolder he got.

"Take down the magnetometers, those weapons aren't for me."

All Pence has to do is question the election integrity and leave the rest to me and the Republicans."

He believed that second one so much he announced publicly Pence would do it even after Pence said he wouldn't.​

'True to his word' is not how I would describe it. I think it was more like he fantasized he could lead the mob to victory.

His inner circle, the ones where he did incriminating things in front of, were mostly lackeys who were riding the gravy train. I doubt any of them would have thought ahead to collect incriminating evidence. People like Cohen didn't turn on Drumpf until Cohen was left in jail. And Allen Weisenberg was loyal to the end. He's in jail but he's had years getting rich from the Trump Organization.
 
And another thought, it's pretty incriminating Drumpf wasn't the least bit worried anyone in the mob were anti-Drumpf. He knew exactly who was in that mob because he was in on the planning.

Exactly. If he thought that BLM and Antifa were really there, no way would he have wanted armed people in the crowd.

Lies are like botfly larvae: they have a way of coming out eventually.
