Jesus Effing Christ! So Trump knew people were armed, and he wanted the magnetometers (weapon detectors) removed so they could enter the rally! He did not want them to be disarmed! Knowing full well that they were going to Congress. He intentionally sent armed people down there!

Trump said "They're not here to hurt me!"
 
He wanted to go into the Capitol and GO INTO THE ******* HOUSE CHAMBER!!! It was only the Secret Service that prevented this! When Trump was in the car and told he wasn't going to the Capitol, he tried to grab the steering wheel, and then physically attacked his head of security!

Trump thought he was being taken to the Capitol after his Jan. 6, and when security told him he couldn't Trump tried to grab the steering wheel and lunged at one of the SS agents.
 
There are reports that Hutchinson's testimony was accelerated because she had been threatened.
 
She reports on other incidents where Trump threw dishes or "flipped the tablecloth" to throw everything on the floor.
 
Before today's testimony, my impression of Trump was that he was acting like a 6 year old having a tantrum. I hereby revise my impression to lower his age to 4. :boggled:

I hate to be the overly analytical uber-skeptical person - but how does that work?

Wouldn't the President be in the back of the Beast, with a partition separating if from the driver?

That's what I've always pictured too. This needs more details, and honestly, Trump's too fat to "lunge" at anything, let alone the wheel of a limozeen.

The explanation might be that he lost it and in a fit of temper managed to get a hand on the wheel from the back seat.

But to your point one has to ask how he thought he might control the car, "the beast" without getting in the drivers seat.

Again, maybe he just "lost it".
 
It says he tried to grab the wheel, he probably just lunged his arm towards it without a chance to reach it and the service agents pulled him back.
