You have sources for this, especially Sean Hannity's involvement?

I was Just a Menber of the Facebook group where it was posted I joined it after they showed the Live Stream of the Police shooting the Fox 41 WDRB reporter in the face with the pepper ball.
I wasn't connected to Trump and his People how would I know Trump and his followers wanted to start a Civil War, Blame it on Antifa, and BLM, have Trump declare the Insurrection act and declare Marshall Law on the 6th?
That's just a crazy conspiracy theory.
It wasn't like the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers Expected Black Lives Matter and Antifa to show up.
That's all just nuts.

There's more coming out about a dramatic meeting at the Oval Office on Jan 3 involving The Fat Orange Turd, and the leadership of the DoJ along with members of the WH counsel's office. They threatened to resign as a group if The Fat Orange Turd installed an obscure DoJ Republican environmental lawyer as the new Acting AG.

That lawyer, Jeffrey Clark, was at the meeting, promising the The Fat Orange Turd that if he became acting AG, he would send a letter to elected officials in Georgia and other swing states won by Joe Biden, telling them the lie that the DoJ had found fraud in the presidential election in that state, and urged the states to illegally submit a slate of Trump Electors to the Electoral College.

Deputy AG Richard Donoghue, who testified on day 2 of the hearings, heard about this meeting and rushed to the Oval Office dressed in jeans and a T-shirt to try to put a halt to proceedings, and stop Jeffrey Clark being appointed.

Donoghue: "He's never been a criminal attorney, he's never conducted a criminal investigation in his life, he's never been in front of a grand jury, much less a trial jury"

Clarke: "Well, I've done a lot of very complicated appeals, incivility litigation and environmental litigation. Things like that."

Donoghue: "That's right, you are an environmental lawyer. How about you go back to your office and we will call you when there's an oil spill."

At the end of the meeting The Fat Orange Turd decided not to make Clark Acting AG

Trump: “I appreciate you being willing to suffer the abuse but the reality is you are not going to get anything done, these guys are going to quit, everyone else is going to resign. It's going to be a disaster, The bureaucracy will eat you alive and no matter how much you want to get things done in the next few weeks you won't be able to get it done, and it's not going to be worth the breakage.”

Just wow... especially the highlighted... a brutally dismissive "don't call us, we'll call you"!!

ETA: Oh, but wait, there's more!

Clark was shot down by other lawyers in the room when he tried to discuss what authority VP Mike Pence would have on January 6th, in counting the Electoral College votes, but it was not the end of that idea. Attorney John Eastman pushed the idea of having Pence reject the EC votes from key states won by Biden.

The next day, Eastman rang one of the The Fat Orange Turd's WH lawyers, Eric Herschmann.....

... I don't remember what he called me for... he wanted to talk to me and said he could not reach "others", and he started to ask me about something dealing with Georgia, preserving something potentially for appeal.

Herschmann: Are you out of your ******* mind!?” I only want to hear two words coming out of your mouth from now on – "orderly transition". I don't want to hear hear any other ******* words coming out of your mouth, no matter what, other than "orderly transition! Repeat those words to me!"

Eastman: (eventually...) "Orderly transition"

Herschmann: "Good John, now I'm going to give you the best free legal advice you're going to get in your life.... get a great ******* criminal defence lawyer... you're going to need it..... and then I hung up on him."

Incredible! This is the talk that goes on in a Banana Republic where elections are meaningless. So that is the sort of "Democracy" that Trump wants?!

What we've learned is that Trump wanted to overturn the election after everyone in the actual administration/cabinet told him he couldn't.
So why did no one do 25th amendment, when they all clearly saw that that would have been the only way to prevent a catastrophe?

A 25th amendment action requires the vice-president’s signature.
I am unsure if Pence ever got to the point that he would sign.

And then it requires two-thirds majority in the House and the Senate.

And if there isn’t a two-thirds consensus, the president resumes power.
Trump surviving a 25A challenge would result in a flurry of firings and slew of executive orders designed to punish the unloyal.

In a court filing today, Proud Boy Zachary Rehl posted the full version of the "1776 Returns" document that Enrique Tarrio allegedly referenced while the Capiotl was being breached.

PDF of the plan (9 pages)

It only takes a few minutes to read. Now try telling me that this was just a spontaneous march down to the Capitol.

I imagine that was one of his greatest disappointments with the office, "What do you mean I can't just fire anyone I want to? What's the point of this job if I can't fire anyone I want to regardless of where they're employed? What a joke."

Right up there with “No, Mr. President, for the third time, when someone criticizes you, then you may not arrest them.
Nor can you have the FCC pull their broadcasting license,
nor can you have the CIA assassinate them,
nor can you have Homeland Security exile them,
nor can you have the IRS to seize their property,
nor can you have the Navy SEALS abduct them.”

Incredible! This is the talk that goes on in a Banana Republic where elections are meaningless. So that is the sort of "Democracy" that Trump wants?!

I mean.. how much clearer is he supposed to make it?

Trump has to scream "I want a Banana Republic!" to achieve orgasm.

I suspect part of the lack of urgency is because Trump was effectively deposed on January 6th. It was never put in those terms, but when he's not the one calling out the national guard and it happens over his objection, well, he's no longer ultimately in charge.

So?! Each State could still get on the ball and do all this better. Bigger poloulation, more electoral workers is pretty simple math many other countries have worked out a good while ago.

But we have before us the dis-United States of America. Got men on the Moon within a decade, but still have a generally crap election system after a couple centuries plus. Special, unique, benighted America, which doesn't stoop so low as to learn from those 'lesser' nations that in numerous respects makes a mockery of the so-called, deluded and delusional, US and A. Soon to become rather like Russia if sanity does not soon prevail.

Forgive me if I think you just plain don't like Americans, and have not for a long time before Trump.
And I have to note there a strong dislike and at times hatred of the US has been popular on the Canadian Left for some time. At times I think it goes back to the Empire Loyalists....

It also had about as much chance of working as a snowball in hell.
Even Trump advisors would have rejected it as being silly and unworkable..particualry the new election in 14 days demand.
I despise Trump, but if I were prosecuting him for Jan 6th, I would not use this as evidence against him. Nothing linking with him this.
But it does show how extreme the Proud Boy were.

Judge rejects Bannon’s bid to toss contempt charges

https://www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/2022/06/15/judge-rejects-bannon-motion-to-dismiss/

"The former chief strategist to President Donald Trump had asked U.S. District Carl J. Nichols to toss out the charges, arguing that he relied on the Justice Department’s long-standing advice about congressional subpoenas to White House aides and was not committing a crime when he failed to produce documents or appear before the committee.

But at a three-hour court hearing Wednesday, Nichols, a 2019 Trump appointee, repeatedly challenged his claims and ultimately decided in the Justice Department’s favor."

What the DoJ should do now is obtain a search warrant for those papers and documents he refuses to provide, ans search everything he has anything to do with - search all his computers and devices, in his home and places of work. Turn his life inside out and upside down - make his life a complete misery. Same for Peter Navarro. They might never find those papers and documents - either too well hidden or destroyed - but its would send a clear message of what to expect for anyone else thinking about defying a Congressional subpoena.

Raw Story dot com had an interview with Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) of the House Select Committee investigating Jan. 6th. Raskin told Raw Story that through testimony and documents the Committee has established that the following were telling trump the same thing, that it was over. He lost the election.

The attorney general of the United States, all of the White House lawyers, and the campaign lawyers and campaign advisers.

They've been criticized for not 'doing more.' Namely, going public when their boss, trump, wouldn't listen to them. I feel that criticism is kind of unfair.

It took courage for them just to tell the boss something he didn't want to hear. It would have been a lot safer to just tell him, "Yes, mr. president, I agree with you." But to their credit they told him what they thought to be the truth. If you've ever been in that position -- an arrogant and demanding boss -- telling him what he DOESN'T want to hear is tough. But to then "go public?" I don't see that as being advisable.

First of all, it's not their responsibility to inform the public. Staff people usually believe in a certain amount of confidentiality. If they had leaked it -- we're trying to tell him but he won't listen! -- and they were identified they're not only certain to be fired, their career is probably going up in flames. Most of these people have families and they have to protect their ability to earn a living. If they were identified, they'd have also probably been at physical risk. They would quite possibly have begun getting death threats, along with their family members. (Example: Dr. Anthony Fauci's KIDS had to have police protection.)

And you know what? At the end of the day it wouldn't have made any difference. So a White House attorney says "I told the president," so what? Everyone already knew trump was locked into claiming fraud in an obvious attempt to subvert the will of the American people.

When you realizes they lost because someone told the other side in the War they wanted to sit home on the Couch and Drink Beer, their plan really makes more sense.

Yep total crazies and the Plan was well know before hand, and President that Didn't see Violence as a Result of him using Alt Right Code Words like Wild as in going wild on their Arses, was unfit to be President!
The Proud Boys and Oath Kespers, Ron Paul's Waco Whackos, took the use of Wild in that Tweet as in Go Wild on their Arses. Arses Meaning on BLM and Antifa.
Proud Boys had a code for violence, you think Trump didn't know it?
