... discusses other causes of mortality ...
Thinking about it, assuming that I of all people don't know where Asterix and Obelix, in the comic, are located, is symptomatic of this thread. A gang of conformist circle-jerkers projecting their utter lack of insight and intellectual independence onto thier perceived enemies, those outside the cult. What a joke.
How about 5.5 million, and multi-millions more with pulmonary and neurological issues?People die all the time. What cost proves to be too much to save that one person?
Since you care and virtue signal so much, why would you deny people lifesaving early treatments. How many deaths were caused as a result?
Feel free to apply that "fact-checker" filter. I'm sure it will make you smarter.
Thousands of people die every day from Covid 19, a few thousand people at most have died from the Covid 19 vaccines. Some posters appear to think that saving the latter is worth sacrificing the former.
Oh, it can't be covid... except for the fact covid has caused excess mortality. To deny it is BS, or an inability to do math.
Dr Sam Bailey makes misleading claims... how did you find BS on covid? Did you listen to her video? Can you point out the false claims, or misleading claims? I can, can you? This is simple.
Plus - Dr Mark Bailey and Dr John Bevan-Smith seem like conspiracy theorists. Did you read their paranoid paper, or go with the headlines?> They had me when they claim Covid 19 is fake. You found some winners... guess you could use their quackery to support an anti-vax agenda -
Sam Bailey is currently under investigation by the NZ Medical Council for posting obviously false claims.
You're the one making assumptions. I've stated my case clearly. In the video cited, Sam Bailey quotes figures from Euromomo showing that there is a correlation between spikes in excess mortality and countries in Europe which conducted aggressive drug trials. No assumptions, just facts and figures. To add to what Pixel42 said, it is a mistake to assume that the outliers are telling the truth.
@Petra: it sounds like you decide what you would prefer to believe, and then go looking for evidence to support that belief. In case you don't know, that is exactly the wrong way to go about discovering the truth about anything. Indeed, the human tendency to make that mistake is why the scientific method had to be invented.
The real reasons for the differences in numbers and timing of excess death peaks in Spain and Portugal are not hard to discover. Please try again, without making any prior assumptions as to what they are, or are not, most likely to be.
Except that I, being aware of the human tendency I described, do actively seek out contrary evidence. That's precisely why I'm subscribed to this thread, and have been reading it and its predecessors for nearly two years. I have yet to see any such contrary evidence (including yours) that stands up to even the most cursory investigation. But couldn't I make the same assertion about you - you decide to believe the mainstream narrative because that suits you and what do you find? Well, you're just overloaded with evidence that supports that narrative.
Because I know from experience how pointless that is. You need to find them yourself before you'll give them credibility.Do you realise that such a claim has zero credibility? To have credibility what you need to do is present at least the bare bones of a case for the reasons that there is a large excess spike in Spain in April 2020 and a lower spike in Portugal than in 2017. You've obviously discovered the reasons, no? So why not give a hint at least what those reasons are. And rather than say that the reasons are not hard to discover why not simply point me to where?
As compelling arguments go, that is not one of them.I didn't believe it was covid because I don't believe covid has been proven to exist
Someone told me house fires are highly correlated with the sounds of sirens. Sirens must cause house fires.A couple of weeks later, NZ doctor, Sam Bailey, a former co-presenter of the medical myth-busting series, The Checkup, and a bit of a media darling who is now persona non grata because of her views on the pandemic published a video explaining how the excess spike corresponded well with aggressive drug trials conducted in certain European countries.
Yes, you have.I've stated my case clearly.
Are you on drugs?![]()
As I said, she's now persona non grata so, of course, she's under investigation. If you wish to claim that she's making false claims then you need to state what those false claims are. You need to think for yourself and not just spout what a conservative medical body spouts. For goodness sake.

Long before I found Sam Bailey I didn't believe a word of what we were being told. I didn't believe a word from Day One when they showed us - in complete contradiction of reality - people falling flat on their faces and people laid out on the ground and on hospital floors, when they told us that hospitals were being erected in 48 hours and when they told us that two particular species of snakes were found to be reservoirs of the virus. That sort of complete nonsense was a clear indicator we were being lied to so I didn't believe a word from Day One and no evidence has come to light to make me change my mind.
What a joke.

The smartest drugs any of us has ever encountered.
