Integrity is great except when it's backed by delusional thinking. In that case, being sincere doesn't make one any less wrong.

Alas, the MA requires that I must conceal what I really think about this matter.

If the brakes were released, I might have rather a lot to say. And others might as well.

My crank tolerance has gone from "why do you believe that claim?" to "foxtrot right oscar with that nonsense" in a rather short timeframe.

The ASTM level 1 spec claims to filter particles at .1 micron with >= 95% efficiency.

The SARS-CoV-2 virus is about .1 micron, so if the worst surgical mask doesn't stop it reliably, then using logical inference, what chance do you think cloth face diapers have at stopping infection? Even ASTM level 3 masks only give you about another 4% efficiency.

The only "masks" that work effectively at lowering your chance of SARS-Cov-2 infection are N95 respirators and above, and those cannot be worn over long periods of time without medical consequences like hypercarbia, and so aren't really suitable for the public anyway.

The face diapers that you pseudo-skeptics so maniacally wear are just virtue-signaling devices used to soothe other Covidiots, and demonstrate your compliance to "authorities", and that, is backed up by actual science.

You seem to lack knowledge of how viruses travel through the air. They are carried on the water droplets that are expelled when you exhale. Those water droplets are far greater in size than .1 micron. Block the water droplets and you block the virus.
