The smell never did come out, they simply sprayed some Febreze on it, this is simply the tory party being the tory party with a man with no sense of shame at the top.

Go back even 10 years and there would be no way a PM could have stayed in place being investigated by civil servants and the police with such unambiguous evidence.

Yes, Putin must be finding it hilarious.

It's interesting that Sunak has now been tarred with this as well.

Someone damaging a potential competitor?

Is it zugzwangWP for Johnson? Hard to see what he can usefully do here.

Rishi Sunak accidentally went to Boris Johnson's No 10 birthday event

Apparently he was present when the birthday cake was served but was unaware it was going to happen as he'd gone to the room specifically for COVID strategy committee meeting.

He accidently went to the party thinking it was a meeting, the interior designer accidently went to the party as she wanted to speak to the PM about the wallpaper, Carrie accidently went to the meeting because.?

I can hear him now

"I accidentally entered a room full of drunk revellers singing 'Happy Birthday Big Dog', & spilling cheap beer over me. But I stayed to complete what I would later describe as a strategy meeting. After a slice of delightful cake & a polite amount of champagne, I promptly left."

Newsnight now reporting of the £72 billion given in bounce back loans, £21 billion likely to be written off at the tax payers expense.

Only 2 people vetting the applications which was “woefully inadequate”.

Ministers are lining up to back Boris Johnson which leads me to think that they've been tipped off that Sue Gray's report completely exonerates him....

...and by completely exonerates I mean that there isn't quite enough hard evidence to establish that what he did was illegal.

Doubtless a lot of evidence has been destroyed, and a lot more ignored because of the tight remit of the investigation but it'll be enough for the Conservatives to claim that everything is OK and Boris Johnson will at least lead them into the local elections.

We'll now be asked to ignore this "distraction" because of the crisis in Ukraine, Covid success, France being big meanies over Brexit or whatever else can be found to distract us.

The BBC wants to interview me about parties but has no wish to hear views on taxes, the energy shortage, the income squeeze, the wrong OBR forecasts of the debts and the policies to import more and produce less. The public is less interested in past parties than they think.

Correct me if I'm wrong but:

  • The increase in National Insurance was announced by the Conservatives. They don't get to be the cause of and the solution to the problem at the same time
  • The government has no plans to tackle the energy shortage
  • The income squeeze has largely been caused by the government's policies and they voted against a Labour Party proposal to ameliorate it somewhat by removing VAT on fuel
  • Importing more and producing less is a direct result of this government's terrible management of Brexit and the trade deals they have negotiated which are highly disadvantageous to the UK

IOW he wants to deflect scrutiny from one area of government incompetence by drawing focus to several other areas where they have cocked things up right-royally.:boggled:

So, Lulu Lyttle was present in Downing Street on the day of BlowJob's birthday party because she was working on the re-fit...

And yet in the following November BlowJob is tapping up Brownlow for money as Lulu was keen to get started on the re-fit...

Is she a ******* Time Lord or what? Does the re-fit include a Tardis module?

There were restrictions on allowing people in to your home to do work at the time.

Once again, Boris Johnson is proven to be a lying liar. It was claimed that Boris Johnson had intervened to make sure that animals from a high profile shelter were evacuated when allies were left behind but Boris Johnson denied that he had.

Turns out that there was evidence that he had.

Boris Johnson authorised the evacuation of animals from Afghanistan during the fall of Kabul, according to emails leaked by a whistleblower.

The PM has previously dismissed as "nonsense" claims he intervened in the evacuation of the Nowzad charity, run by former Royal Marine Pen Farthing.

But an email from an official in minister Zac Goldsmith's office suggests he was personally involved.

It's not just that they're taking us for mugs, it's that they're so brazen about it and/or so incompetent at covering their tracks although at this stage it seems more like a deliberate flex than incompetence.

Ah yes but numbers 10, 11 and 12 Downing Street are both homes and work places so I'm sure that an interpretation can be found that shows that, strictly speaking, Boris Johnson didn't break the rules dozens of times. ;)

How many lies can that bloke tell before they bury him?
