The beginning of Covid concentration camps in America? First, here's a link to some proposed legislation in Washington State that basically eliminates due process for anyone deemed infected or contagious by a "health officer":

WAC 246-100-040
Procedures for isolation or quarantine.

Here is an example of one of the innocuously named "quarantine camps", replete with some slick marketing videos of how wonderful they are:

Isolation/Quarantine Facilities
Department of Community and Human Services

Time for you pseudo-skeptical clowns to pivot from absolute denial into acceptance and advocacy? Too soon? Not enough evidence? I didn't bother to link any alternative news reports for this, because obviously you would dismiss the source using the ad hom fallacy, so I just linked to the actual WA state legislature, and the King County Covid "isolation" facility.

:dl:

You really can be quite amusing on occasion.

Here's a good example of how the covid CTmongers fail.

Canadian COVID-19 vaccine study seized on by anti-vaxxers — highlighting dangers of early research in pandemic (cbc.ca)

....
In the paper in question, the results made no sense, could not be corroborated, so they had to be reexamined, which is what the author proceeded to do. This is how science sometimes works.

No sense? No, the paper's results make sense and are consistent with what's published on Ontario's official site which plots rates per 100,000 for vaccinated (includes both D and 2D), partially vaccinated (1D), and non-vaccinated. Go down to the header "COVID-19 cases by vaccination status" at this site.
https://covid-19.ontario.ca/data

It's clear since Omicron dominated Covid cases that the likelihood was higher a person who was 2D vaccinated was a case than an unvaccinated person.

But the study is on "effectiveness" and is not the same as "efficacy." The latter requires randomized, blinded trials. Once in the real world only observational studies are feasible. with all the associated confounders. Here's one they list that seems to me the most likely confounder:

The behaviour of individuals who are vaccinated, and the policies that apply to this group, may differ from those who are unvaccinated such that “vaccinated” status could be associated with an increased risk of exposure. In Ontario, a vaccine certificate system was introduced in the fall of 2021, such that only individuals who have received 2 doses of vaccine are permitted to travel by air and rail, and to enter restaurants, bars, gyms, and large cultural and sporting events.

That's a pretty obvious biggie. Ideally, one would want to know the relative risk if vaccinated or not with exactly the same behavior. Effectiveness (observational) studies can't really provide that without measuring and accounting for these confounders. A herculean job. However, in support of this being the major confounder, note that while fully vaccinated are at higher risk than the unvaccinated, the partially vaccinated are at lower risk. And they are not eligible for the vaccine passports. See the linked ontario site for current stats.

Unless original antigenic sin is at play, possible but highly unlikely, one should adjust the numbers upward to at least the base line and shift the others up in proportion so boosters would be more effective and are probably in the 50% to 60% range for equivalent behavior.

He's the guy who claimed that anti-vaxers were going to starve to death. Apparently, they're too stupid to utilize the curbside delivery option offered by so many grocery stores.

It makes you wonder if these folks who claim to be genuises, or the smartest people I'm likely to ever meet are telling me the truth, because even I can figure out curbside delivery.

You clowns are like 0 for 6 at keeping on topic. Is the Washington State legislature disinformation? What about the King County Covid Isolation Camps? What stage are you at, denial, or advocacy yet? Looks like denial so far.

Did you actually read the website? You might want to before you make or do your cries of dismay and end of the world stomping around. It is very amusing but it - as usual isn't true.

Isolation and Quarantine Facilities

Isolation and Quarantine facilities provide supervised care to symptomatic or COVID-positive adults who cannot safely quarantine or recover in their own home, or do not have a home.

People who stay at an I/Q may be unable to isolate from high-risk individuals in their home or they may be experiencing homelessness. These spaces help support hospital capacity by providing a place of care for people who need assistance, while leaving hospital beds available for the most acutely ill.
Learn more about our open facilities:

Auburn Clarion Inn

The I/Q site opened on January 3 and will temporarily utilize the Auburn Clarion Inn, a Health through Housing hotel purchased in July. The I/Q site offers 100 safe, clean, and comfortable rooms for people to safely isolate. These rooms provide a place to rest and recover when that space is unavailable at home for any number of reasons including the fragility of the health of a family member, or for people who do not have a home.

Auburn I/Q service is free with 24-hour security
Includes effective transportation to accommodate guests
We offer robust medical, behavioral health, and operational staffing

Learn more about this facility on our blog, Cultivating Connections.

Sounds just like a Soviet Gulag or Nazi extermination site doesn't it? LOL

When paired with pending legislation that would involuntarily confine people without due process, and possibly subject them to medical procedures that they object to, then the answer is clearly yes. If that legislation passes, and people start getting kidnapped, this will go kinetic.

Reading is for sheeple.

That's true. I guess he is unaware of history and government quarantining of people with or suspected to have infectious diseases has been occurring for centuries.

Societies don't like folks with Cholera, plague, Small pox, rabies, anthrax, leprosy, measles, and etc, etc. Wandering around and that was before germ theory was fully understood. They did know that isolation seemed to help.

Impurifying our precious bodily fluids!

I believe that this is where all those right-thinking, blue blooded Americans come out gunz-a-blazin' to fight against the tyranny of government. I will watch for it on the 6 o'clock news.

I'd say that's a big "if" there, but quite honestly your paranoia is amusing more than anything else.

So, mark one down for advocacy, then. Of course, none of those diseases had infection survival rates of 99.74%, or even 99.99% weighted for the vast majority of the healthy population, despite the fact that even if Covid did not, it still wouldn't warrant involuntary quarantine. Any of the other clowns want to hop over from denial to advocacy like Hans did? We all know it's just a matter of time.

So you acknowledge you were completely wrong about the concentration camp screaming and fear?

LOL

As noted quarantine has existed for centuries. If you READ the WA document you'll find your crying about something that doesn't exist and judges and courts ARE involved.

READ something please, please stop wasting our times every time you're told something online and go in to chicken little mode. It get tiresome dealing with your unwarranted angst.

Hey wait a few weeks all us Vac people should be dead by then....chuckle

No, I acknowledge that you are in favor of the pending legislation, and fully support involuntarily quarantining people in camps at the whims of "health officials". This wasn't difficult to predict.

Involuntary quarantine for a disease with tiny fractional infection fatality rates would raise eyebrows in most sane, well adjusted people, but clearly not in pseudo-skeptical clown's eyes. If this is all routine, then why the new legislation that clearly does exactly what I said it does, in plain english?
