I suspect he planned the "LG,B" sign off all along. That was the entire reason for the call in the first place.
You say that like it is a bad thing.

I think everyone on that side should call themselves the "Let's Go Brandon!" Team. Complete with caps with the initials.
I'd go further and call them "Let's Go Brandon!" Team Qanon.
Depends on how you define "bad," I suppose. Good if you're a tasteless, conpiracy-addled moron who thinks blurting out bumper-sticker idiocy is the acme of wit. Luckily for him if for few else he has at least a little league of loyal cheerleaders to carry him triumphant into the pantheon of right oriented political pundits. You say that like it is a bad thing.![]()
It's like how the racists are no longer just happy being racist, they have to be racist AND do the whole "chip on my shoulder, dare you to knock if off" routine to boot.
Yes and Biden not attracting any level of demagogary (I invented a new word) is exactly what we should want, it shouldn't be seen as an annoying lull between partisan screaming matches.
It's a feature, not a bug. IT'S A GOOD THING.
I said it a long time ago. A beige Volvo station wagon of a President is exactly what we need, not just now, but always.
If you say so. Seems more likely than not stalling for time in between proto-fascist right wing administrations is not a good strategy.
I really find it strange that anyone would be deeply offended on Joe Biden's behalf, but then again I might be out of touch on this point.
I get why anti-Obama animus was so gross, because it was thinly (or not) veiled racism. Similarly for much of the anti-Hilary misogyny. But when it comes to the right hating Biden, it's about as close to an animus-free political statement from the right that we're ever going to get.
Wut?
I don't know fust who here is getting absolutely bent. I, like many others, do consider the gesture to have been in bad taste and stupid, but so, obviously, do you, if you refer to a person as a "CHUD." I think Biden handled it with reasonable aplomb and reduced it to the level of triviality it deserves. It should have been entirely forgettable, and it is to those here who insist it was some kind of conservative coup that I am speaking. The actual event is predictable and trivial. As a political outsider, I find this whole thing very strange. Both the right wingers who childishly value "triggering" the libs at any opportunity, and the libs who are so easily triggered.
It is kinda funny that libs get their **** absolutely bent by CHUDs being rude to Biden (I mean, come on, Biden is your hero?), but the right wing can't help but jump the shark by becoming absolutely obsessed and running every half-funny joke into the ground. Mocking shrill libs kinda loses its edge if you're sticking your own dick in the proverbial electrical outlet (losing jobs, etc) to do so. They've beaten the dead horse so much it's only a damp spot on the soil now.
I suppose in the absence of any real substantial issues, culture flame wars is all we really have left. Since Biden's administration is largely a lame duck doing ****-all, I guess these culture proxy-wars are all we have to express partisan rage in this country.
.
You like drama in politics. That's all.
"Boring President doesn't spend all time tilting at windmills and that makes me angry."

Haha oh wow.
Dislike Biden because of his track record or policies or ideology or incompetence, and it's exactly what it says on the tin.
Dislike Obama for any of those same reasons, and it's actually racism.
Dislike Hillary for any of those same reasons, and it's actually sexism.
As the Biden admin drags on and he quietly continues many of Trump's most objectionable policies, it's becoming increasingly clear that the liberal objection to Trump was almost entirely based in aesthetics rather than substance. The problem with Trump isn't that he was a heartless freak overseeing horrible atrocities in our name (the covid die-off, border camps, police abuse), the problem was that he was crass about it rather than a polished politician.
As much as I try to pose as the doomer lefty on here, I really was a bit shocked by how quickly all these people immediately stopped caring about "kids in cages" or "9/11 worth of covid deaths per day" the second a polite guy with some platitudes was running things. I kinda thought that some of this stuff would have had purchase in the broader political imagination, but it was all smoke and mirrors. So long as the guy running things isn't a Republican rubbing it in their faces, it doesn't matter.
