Cont: The Trump Presidency: Part 28

I predict one of two things will happen in the next couple of elections. The GOP will successfully destroy democracy and be in power forever or the Republican Party will dissolve and then another party will be born from the right-wing of the Democratic party which will be much like the Republican party of the 80's.

Then what happens to the Trump cultists? What party would they belong to because they'd consider a party like the 80's GOP would be far too sane and liberal for them.

Well, I suppose they would go back to being fringe, but having tasted main stream politics and power they won't likely go quietly. :( What is their continuing damage potential becomes a big concern.

It's not that they can't stop; they don't want to stop.

I’m going with both.

ETA
Scratch that. I’m going with

They don’t want to stop.
They could not stop even if they wanted to.
They could not even conceive of the idea of stopping.

You have to want something before you can accomplish it It's like alcoholism or drug abuse: before you can get clean, you have to want to get clean. These fools don't even want to get clean.

This is how many conservatives look at liberals. Humorous.

It's not the liberals who are lying about the 2020 election having been rigged and stolen. It's not the liberals calling the Jan. 6 rioters "just tourists' or the riot a "peaceful protest". It's not the liberals denying the efficacy of masks and vaccines. It's not the liberals idolizing and handing control of their party over to a sociopathic narcissist who couldn't tell the truth if his life depended on it. It's not the liberals scare mongering about the "great replacement".

Liberals have their own sins to account for. Of course, hyper-partisanship ensures that each party is blind to their own faults.

There are degrees of sin and right now, the sins of the Republicans FAR OUTWEIGH those of the Democrats. Try and defend what Trump has done and is doing to this country aided and abetted by GOP Congressmembers, the right wing media, and cultists.

Meh. I think liberals, overall, have done their best to **** up this country...with much success. Hence, I lean conservative, for the most part.

Name an equivalent, on the same par, liberal sin for each of those listed by Stacyhs.

No sin I could name would be sufficient, in the eyes of a liberal. The whole concept of "sin valuation" is entirely subjective, and not worthy of debate.

I can't think of the last time a Dem tried to overturn a presidential election supported by his Congressional lickspittles who were so far up his backside that it took an Emergency Response Spelunking Team to find them. Or a Dem who was impeached not once, but twice, for his abhorrent behavior. Or a Dem who incited his followers to attack a house of government because he lost an election. Maybe Warp can help me?
