When he was charged with his sex crimes, he was 63, and he raped a 16/17 year old. Even here, he would be regarded as a sex offender.

It was from what I read statutary rape, because the victim was under the age of consent, the point I was making was that having sex with someone over 16 but under 18 (male or female) would be rape in Florida, but not in NZ or UK. Certainly having sex with someone over 16 would not fit with most definitions of being a 'pedo'.
We have to recognise 'gay bashing' is a real phenomenon, for some men merely being gay is a provocation to violence. This thread is about what is a justifiable provocation to violence. I do not think it is unreasonable to raise the issue whether as you seem to imply being gay is a provocation to be considered a mitigation to violence or whether killing a gay man should be regarded as a hate crime.
There is a long track record of people associating gay men with being child molesters. Finding young post pubescent men or women attractive is not pedophilia. I think one needs to be careful that posts do not use homophobic tropes.

200 hours is a lot of community service too. You're looking at 5 weeks if you're pulling 40 hours a week. He'll probably be doing community service on every day off he'll have for the next year.
That sucks, I feel bad for him. The house arrest is better than any prison\jail time though, so that's reasonable I think.
He seems like a good guy, hopefully things work out for him.

Well yeah, you can relish that karma indirectly took care of what the justice system couldn't. But that doesn't mean the hommes here has a blank slate to be the Hammer of God, just kind of hoping that whoever he kills had it coming for previous crimes unknown.

You seem very concerned about whether or not his death was justified. Why is that?
As I have stated already, I don't support pedos. This guy or any other. Some people are selective about the ones that they support or mourn for; I am not one of those people. I am still interested though, to hear from the vocal crowd here, why this guy deserved to die:
1) His criminal history
or
2) For calling someone a name
It's an important distinction. So far, nobody has clarified their position on this matter, other than Thermal.

And it's very telling that you keep sanitizing what this guy did by referring to it as his "criminal history". Pretty much every time you posted about Rosenbaum you made some kind of graphic reference to his pedophilia. You relished it and did it at every opportunity.
But in the case of this pedo, no graphic references to his pedophilia, let alone repeatedly. Just his "criminal history".
