Do be fair, they foreclosed on the White Nationalists years ago.

Looks like Co is about average.

In my experience that mast much more true prior to about the 2000s. Growing up in a rural town, almost everyone had guns and almost nobody locked them up. Most folks lock them up now. Anecdotal mind you.

Oh, and almost nobody was worried about blacks, rampaging or otherwise.

Edit to add:
https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-ta...on-americans-views-of-guns-and-gun-ownership/
Why folks own guns.
67% protection
38 Hunting
30 sports shooting(I assume targets or clay pidgeons)
13 collectors
8 jobs.

It would be nice to know the primary reason. There's clearly a lot of because of X and Y and Z going on.

So only 67% have their guns because of worries of home invasion when of course the guns are a far greater risk to members of the household than home invasion is. But gun owners are like people saying they won't wear their seatbelt because they would rather be thrown clear and not worry about burning cars in an accident.

Seriously what do they think it is protecting them from?

Picked it up at home most likely. Having guns laying around is fairly normal in many gun owning families. Want her to be able to repel home invasions of rampaging blacks after all.

Never an opportunity missed by you, never an opportunity missed.

So what are the 67% of gun owners protecting themselves from then? By their own messaging home invasion is a major part of what they are protecting themselves from.

You mentioned "rampaging blacks" earlier. Now it's simply, "home invasion"

Maybe take that to the many threads that deal specifically with race issues? This one centres on "Todays Mass Shooting".

Who else are they thinking is doing the home invasion? The gun owner feelings on that were made clear by that couple who became famous and well loved for threatening BLM protesters with guns. They were clearly using their guns for protection then after all.

This is why I wonder about priorities. Most folks I know who own guns are mostly hunters, shooters, and inherited them from there parents. I wonder how man are, "for protection and I go shoot" vs "I hunt/shoot targets and I keep them for protection."? Also, its not that unreasonable to wish for some sort of home defense in rural areas. My cousins live in the middle of nowhere and have been robbed. Cops can't get there fast enough to do any good. You city folk on the other hand.

Because, I tend to agree, keeping them for protection is just silly for most people. Keep in mind, most people have a wildly inflate sense of crime rates.

This is something we can blame squarely on the media.

You also came up with the one example where someone had a reasonable fear of home invasion.

At least 25 people including a police officer have been killed in a shootout in Rio de Janeiro, according to local media.

The shootout took place during a police operation in a favela in the Jacarezinho area of the city.

Police launched the operation after receiving reports that drug traffickers were recruiting children for their gang.

At least 25? Now that's a proper shoot-out.
Despite the Brazilian courts having banned these "raids".

Meanwhile in Rigby, Idaho a mere three victims, so it may not even count as a mass shooting. On the other hand, the shooter was an 11 year old girl, so give her a break.

And it wasn't even Monday.

I have so many questions about that picture. Why are assault rifles being made in blue and pink? Why does one of the rifles have a suppressor mounted? Is that a ******* drum magazine? Who would buy a weapon for what looks to be an 8 or 9 year old? What the ****?

Perfect for gender reveal parties
Why does one of the rifles have a suppressor mounted?

Looks like
Is that a ******* drum magazine?

Yea apparently reliability is not an important thing to her.

Who would buy a weapon for what looks to be an 8 or 9 year old?

Well a full sized rifle caliber carbine would likely be a bit much for someone that small so a pistol caliber carbine is perfect.

What the ****?

MERICA!!!!!!!

Suppressors are recommended when you apply for a FAC in the UK for health and Safety reasons. They are easier on your hearing.
Drum magazines are a unreliable and a waste of time, they just look cool.

Because the gunfondlers buy them.

Why does one of the rifles have a suppressor mounted?
To reduce noise levels? Otherwise the nighbours might complain.

Is that a ******* drum magazine?
Yes, it appears to be a D-60.

Who would buy a weapon for what looks to be an 8 or 9 year old? What the ****?
A gunfondler.

They tend to be a right pain to reload.

As ever, Forgotten Weapons has a video on the subject.

Why drum magazines are a bad idea.

I don't know and I'm astonished that you do with such, credence lending, certainty.

I saw that clip, I didn't realise they had been asked to represent the majority of gun owners in the US though. Can you direct me to where you learned they had been.
