Cont: The Trump Presidency: Part 27

"I miss the most, helping people [by scheduling tons of rallies where they could come and praise me, applaud me, and love me]," Trump said. "That's why I did it."

"I loved doing it [ditto above] because I helped people," he continued. "And I've helped them[, the suckers,] more than any president."

The dyslexic ex president apparently confuses "el" with "um."
That's flags. Mostly.
I swear to gawd... who ever wanted to see that git's O face? [emoji15]

.

Sorry... probably just caused more wasted groceries. My bad. [emoji3525]

OK, I realize the chances of me winning MegaMillions is greater than the chance of Pres. Trump-head winning a seat in the House.
But I have a question about the formalities of such an event. Would the Congressfolk have to call him Mr. President (or President Trump) or would that honorific not be used in the House chamber?

It’s only a courtesy to refer to an ex-President with their old title.

Were I a Democrat in the House, I'd start a challenge to come up with the most superficially obsequious, actually insulting term for him, that he actually thinks is complementary.

"All rise for the HoNoRaBle Memeber, The Unimpeachable, Two-Time Popular Vote runner-up, Lust of his Name, The Bringer of Mobs, Mr. Ex-president, Trump the Maleficent!"

There's a house that I drive past every day while I go to and from work that had a "Trump 2020" banner hanging on their front porch until about a week ago. Now they have a "Don't blame me, I voted for Trump" banner.
It seems to me that, if they're admitting to voting for Trump, then we're perfectly justified in blaming them for the damage he did.

Around here are a few “TRUMP 2020” signs with the final “0” whited out and replaced with a “4”.

Hope springs eternal...

What damage? They don't see any "damage".
Their princeling is the greatest thing since gawds damn sliced bread and we stole, yes STOLE, him away from them.
Now we're all just whining about how the US has instantly morphed into a postapocalyptic **** hole because... reasons. [emoji15]

Meanwhile, back here in reality...

What exactly are we supposed to "blame" him for?

"Goddamn it, the US just passed 200 million people vaccinated! This would have never happened if Trump was president!"

"Goddamn it, Congress just passed a major COVID relief bill! This would have never happened if Trump was president!"

"Goddamn it, Biden just announced a withdrawal from Afghanistan! This would have never happened if Trump was president!"

Assigning blame is easy if you just make stuff up:

Congressman Byron Donalds (R-Fla)
“It’s time we speak truth in the nation’s Capitol: [If only you a-holes had started this philosophy four years ago]
The American Rescue Plan is being sold to the public as COVID-19 aid, yet only 9% of the funds are directed towards providing stimulus relief. The American taxpayers deserve better than radical and fake relief bills.”

ABC News said:
The nonpartisan Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, which itself has been highly critical of the bill, estimates a little more than 15% of the package “is spent on long-standing policy priorities that are not directly related to the current crisis.”

Trump continues to push false claims of election fraud in weekend flurry of press releases

The one-term president attacked Arizona Governor Doug Ducey in new statements over a controversial election audit supported by Republican state legislators.

Mr Trump has thrown his weight behind the partisan audit and claimed it is needed to uncover “large scale voter fraud” from the 2020 election.

“Why are the Democrats so desperate to stop this Election Fraud from being revealed? That answer is obvious! The Governor of Arizona, Doug Ducey, has been shockingly of zero help to the State Senate. He wants to “pretend” the election was free and fair,” said Mr Trump in a Friday statement.

And he then continued his attack on Mr Ducey, claiming he is not providing protection for those involved in the audit.

“The Republican Party is demanding that Governor Ducey of Arizona immediately provide large-scale security for the brave American Patriots doing the Forensic Audit of the 2020 Presidential Election.

“Governor Ducey will be held fully responsible for the safety of those involved. State police or National Guard must be immediately sent out for protection.
The Democrats do not want to have this information revealed, and they will do anything to stop it. Governor Ducey must finally act!”

Arizona’s state GOP have hired cyber security firm, Cyber Ninjas, who have no election experience, to run the election audit.
The company’s chief executive, Doug Logan, supported Mr Trump and shared election conspiracies in now deleted tweets, according to the Arizona Mirror.

As far as “great numbers” are being mentioned, haven’t a large majority of presidents seen the DOW hit record highs?

We had four years of a guy bragging that a metric that consistently goes up was, in fact, still trending up.

Assigning blame is easy if you just make stuff up: ....
Especially roll out the list of everything bad the GOP does/has done and claim the Democrats are doing it. And list all the very popular things the Democrats are doing/trying to do and pretend what they are proposing is a fraction of that plus a bunch of socialism, the commie green New Deal "The Squad", evil Pelosi, and those Commies, Bernie and Warren want.

Don't forget to claim COVID restrictions are ruining the economy and your freedom.

The Constitution was established in 1789. That was a time when people and mail travelled by horseback. If everyone back then thought two months was sufficient to make sure everything was counted correctly and reported to WAshington correctly, then why should anyone take seriously Republicans in 2021 who think that four to God-knows how many additional months are necessary?

I think this belongs in the "Donald Trump has 'dangerous mental illness' say psychiatry experts at Yale... Pt 3" thread.
