The Biden Presidency

Bwahahahahaha!

Look, a squirrel!

I was, and still are, clearly talking about what he is doing as POTUS NOW, not what he may or may not have done 30+years ago. I limited my comparisons to things Trump did DURING HIS PRESIDENCY, and compared them with what Biden has done DURING HIS PRESIDENCY SO FAR!

However, I am sure that with your inordinate skills at barrel-bottom scraping, you will be able to dredge up some other irrelevant bollocks to support a point that you don't have.

Ever? I think that it's extremely likely that such happened before the realignment that happened in relation to the Southern Strategy, first of all, so technically yes. In the modern day, though, not so much, but it can't be ruled out entirely. Rather memorably, though slightly more high profile than you may be asking about, quite a few of the corporate/conservative/"moderate" Democrat politicians of New Jersey tried to gerrymander NJ a couple years ago. There was *very* strong Democratic opposition to the attempt, especially from the progressive part of the party and the attempt was derailed. Certainly, there are those in the Democratic Party who would be happy to disenfranchise Republican voters, but that serves as a recent example about the general sentiment on the topic.

Take a look at Maryland. It's gerrymandered so badly in favor of the Dems that it went to court. Maryland, I think, is the only one gerrymandered in that direction.

It's hilarious. Biden has his first real press conference, shows up with a binder full of questions that will be asked, by who and the answers to them, and all the Bidenites can do in this thread is bash Trump.

You, of course, can provide us with the evidence to support this claim. Please do so.

My Googling did not find an original source for this.

Its just sensationalizing

Most public speakers use cue cards or notes. I do so every time I am called upon to speak in front of an audience - I'm 65 and have beeing doing so since my school days. Trump used pieces of of paper to remind him what to do ALL THE TIME!

No, what has got the average Repugnican's goat is that Biden doesn't give many opportunities for real, meaningful criticism (certainly nothing like the five times daily dose of narcissistic Trump stupidity, arrogance and lies we have become accustomed to in the last four 4years. Its pretty obvious from the tenor of the posts by our right wing Trump sycophant members that they are absolutely desperate to find a criticism, any criticism to cling to - with Obama it was black skin, birtherism and a tan suit that made Repugnican heads explode. Now its the remnants of a lifelong stutter, and old age - if Biden didn't have a stutter and was 65, they would be desperately trying to find something else to cling to.

ROFL .
You like the stuttering ?
Forgetfulness ?
Brain Freezes ? Makes you feel great to be American ?
Against that , you should be congratulating his handlers and careers for taking a huge risk and at least preventing him falling flat on his face .
Modern medications work wonders . Particularly with over 60 rehearsals .
Well done Sleepy .

Booooooring. Friendly advice - Don't quit your day job.

I recently read that Marlon Brando said he was not just being lazy by not memorizing lines. He said when he delivered memorized lines, it sounded like a speech. He thought looking at a cue card was more natural - like a real character looking for the right words.

I can't vouch for his honesty, but it seemed like a reasonable thing to say.

I use to speak events all the time. I almost always brought 3x5 cards with bullet points and others maybe with facts or quotes I planned on using. I don't care who you are or how polished you think you are, it is easy to get off track and draw a blank. Call them cheat sheets if you want. I certainly don't care if Biden refers to notes.

According to our resident right-wingers, apparently Biden is expected to memorize all facts for all situations and all possible questions that any reporter could possibly ask at a press conference because, if he uses notes, it's "cheating" and a sign of dementia. On the other hand, when Trump used notes, it was not "cheating" and not a sign of dementia. If there's logic to that, it's eluding me. But I'm sure it makes sense to them. Which is scary.

Just for the Trump sycophants criticising Biden for using a "cheat sheet", I will leave these here for them to ponder.....

Oh please. If that was the case programs such as PowerPoint and Keynote would have the feature of adding notes only viewable to the presenter when making a presentation….

with all his tremendous mental and physical handicaps, Biden managed to whoop Trump's ass handily.

What does that tell you about Trump?

That out of the goodness of his heart and in respect of Biden’s long public service he didn’t want to draw attention to Biden’s mental issues…..

When quoting other sources, it is appropriate that you provide a link and put the quoted material in a quote block. Failure to do so is ... CHEATING.

Indeed. Notice the punctuation. If it's cribbed from somewhere else, the punctuation is correct. When it's childish taunting, there are spaces before every punctuation mark.
