But didn't you say that you'd been informed of the risks of hip replacement surgery? If you went into it still expecting that you were somehow special and privileged and simply dismissed the stated risks, then you have no one to blame but yourself. If you were offered a choice and informed of the risks, then you are not a victim. Being among the 5% who have problems doesn't invalidate the 95% success rate of the procedure.

Given that you've claimed at least three radically different years for the date of your last vaccination, I see no reason to assume that your claim is accurate. It is possible, but so unusual as to be treated with considerable doubt, especially given your previous unreliability and obvious bias.

Since her advice is so god awful dangerous, the world is a better place if she is selfish. Sharing her screwed up ideas is a form of generosity we could all do without.

Oh and I'm off to get my first dose of the Moderna vaccine this afternoon.
 
If it was one of us instead who had a failed hip replacement, Caroline would have a very clear opinion on why, and on what we could have done to prevent it.

Opacity is a hallmark of CTists. Unable/unwilling to clearly explain their views. Unwilling/unable to explain how it is that they know more than actual experts.
 
A man I knew, my old boss, was someone who'd never been sick in his life. At least not that he admitted to. He got mad when employees called in sick saying it was all in their heads and they weren't drinking enough water.
He'd say, "Mind over matter; if you don't mind, it don't matter."
The had a healthy diet and took supplements. He'd give me a hard time for the massive cheese Danishes I'd have during breakfast before work.

My boss went to a family reunion and injured his foot playing softball. He couldn't walk on it and in a few days his sock looked like he'd stuffed a c antelope inside. I told him it was broken and he should get to the hospital but he refused. He died a few days later from blood poisoning from his untreated broken foot.

I'm sure there are people who've never been seriously ill. But they are exceptions to the norm.

CE has a penchant for using random scare quotes. They appear to have no meaning whatsoever and cannot be explained by any rational method

Just talked to my friend who listened to the whole Geert and Del BigTree video and her take away from Geert is that all those doing these RNA vaccines are destroying their natural immune systems and when the next big outbreak of viruses hit the world, the people will not have their immune system to fight them...and in other words the vaccines could be causing more major strains of corona. Talk about destruction if Geert is right.


And Schumer is pushing for billion$$$ campaign to push for more vaccines Angry face with horns

The author of that piece, Dr. Geert Vanden Bossche, is a noted conspiracy theorist.

The available PDF file contains no references. None of this claims made can be verified.

The author's primary contention is that prophylactic vaccine shouldn't be used in in populations exposed to high infectious pressure.

This is incorrect.

It in fact directly goes against current policies for responding to outbreaks of e.g. measles, mumps, meningococcal disease, etc. and more generally is directly at odds with the incredibly effective ring vaccination strategy.

The ring vaccination was an incredibly effective strategy for containing ebola.

Thanks to Caroline for giving a precis of the video contents so I did not have to watch it. I think the spokesperson and the video are no good, but giving an idea of what is in a video when it's linked is good practice.

I suspect this is a comfortable place for conspiracy theorists to hang out. I especially enjoyed one of the comments, "Vaccines are the software that allow Microsoft install the updates they want into the vaccinated people brains. The people will be under control of the operating system like the microsoft and apple phones and computers. And then the people will be easily controlled and operated by the 1%." Oh my.

Yeah, that's the standard antivax narrative right now. It's absolute rubbish. Complete bollocks. The only way it could be true is if we were trying to vaccinate with an ineffective vaccine, which we are not doing.

RNA vaccines are not inhibiting our natural immune systems, they are enhancing them by exposing them to novel proteins to react to. And it won't produce new strains. Not vaccinating - letting the virus spread unchecked from host to host - is what produces new strains.
