Ed Corona Virus Conspiracy Theories....

Someone whose hip was causing her enough problems to require replacement 10 years ago was certainly sick within the last 30 years. She obviously wasn't taking the right supplement to prevent that particular type of ill health.

I have NOT been sick for over 30 yrs, colds, flu etc, no vaccines and messed up from Hip Replacement 10 yrs ago thanks to going with elective surgery to believe it would fix my issue..Did Not...

But NOT sick otherwise.....

Believe me or don't I don't care what you believe, but I will post anyway.;)

Post your BS all you like as your correspondents here all understand it is BS. Absolute, utter horse ****.

I have two sisters in their eighties, neither of whom have needed a hip replacement. The oldest recently started taking a prescribed medicine to control her blood pressure, it's the first time she has needed to take any kind of pill. She certainly hasn't wasted her money on the products of Big Placebo yet there she is, still hale and hearty. She continued to shop for herself during the pandemic (taking the recommended precautions of course) and was one of the first to be vaccinated.

Absolutely not unique. I am about your age and haven't been "sick" two thirds of that live span.
I bet you have. I'll bet you've had days where you've had a sniffle or a sore throat, and you've just pushed through it and gone on with your life because there were things that needed to be done.

Everybody gets sick.

You need to STOP telling me where to spend my money and what I take for my good health, how about that.

You take pharma meds when you get sick and I don't need them as I don't get sick.

You need to STOP telling everyone where to spend their money and what to take for their health, that way you won't come across as a sanctimonious hypocrite.

Not even a cold? An upset stomach? A headache? A pulled muscle?

My health is pretty good but few years go by without at least one of those. I think there's some very selective remembering going on here.

A person who spends much of their lives in their (or their mom's) basement posting on the internet is probably less likely to get sick, common colds etc than those of us who live normal productive lives involving personal interactions with other humans.

Then how about your stop telling us your nonsense all the time! You said you were going to stop posting here, and well, here we are. There is no reason to believe anything you post here as it has been demonstrated that they are lies and/or hate. Period. That is all your posts offer. You have made it abundantly clear that you don't care one ounce for anyone outside your little circle so you are certainly not posting for our benefit or for anyone else's.

I've recently gone a year without having a cold. The first time I can recall.

There is a very obvious reason why 2020-2021 was the year.

I've rarely been sick enough to miss work - if I have a particularly nasty cold, I do tend to stay at home to prevent it spreading, maybe for one or two days... with the new way of working, that should be better in general.

My grandfather lived to the age of 91. He smoked cigars. He used to drink and did so with Pancho Villa (once), Ed "Doc" Rickets (all the time), and sometimes John Steinbeck. His father died in his 70s but his mother lived to the age of 101. Every day for the last 40 years of his life he had a sardine sandwich for lunch. He swore it was his secret to a long life. I think he just liked sardines.

Everyone on this board knows at least one person who should have died a long time ago from their vices but instead are healthy. If Keith Richards wrote about advocating his way of life as a means to greater health I think he'd kill a lot of people.

Genetics. Genetics is why I can get stung by a bee and simply suffer some pain while others die. It's sometimes just the luck of the draw.

This, more than just about anything else. My avatar picture is about four years old, but it's still a pretty fair representation of me today, at 64. I still have all my hair, and no gray at all in it (in fact, it's gone from kind of an auburn red as a teenager to a dark brown); OTOH, I have four brothers, all of whom are gray as well as bald or balding, and three sisters, all gray. My dad died just short of 78 (colon cancer), and never, to the day he died, had any hair loss or graying, so I'm pretty confident in saying that that was a genetic trait I got from him.

The point being that it's not something I practiced and got good at, and I've never been one to take vitamin (or other) supplements- it's just the luck of the genetic draw. Even taking her at her word, what Caroline is doing is the equivalent of me thrusting myself into a roomful of bald men and proclaiming that they must have been doing something wrong, or not have been doing something right.

Does it still look like you if you turn the light on?

Sorry to drift off-topic for a moment but at first glance your avatar looks like a black square to me. Peering closer I can see there's a face there, but no detail at all.

Yeah, it was a selfie taken on my cell phone in plenty of light, but sort of "zoomed in" by being cropped from full-length to just the headshot- it's not so much lack of light as loss of clarity, I think. I'm not very good at that sort of thing (neither was my dad, so maybe I got the "bad at photography" gene from him too). My profile pic is maybe a better example, though it's older by about two years.
