Drop talking about this new fangled “cancel culture” since it doesn’t exist?
That would be nice, yes.

Okay then, Hansine.
...and also is not at all concerned about the Mexican couple who moved out because people kept screaming "Go back to where you came from spics!" at them, threw rocks through their windows, left threatening messages in their mailbox...all while the police shrugged and said "Nothing we can do."
And no matter if there's a bunch of racist crap hung up on the walls, and the conservatives complained about "those other n...um, liberals" who took the day off when Obama was inaugurated, to the only black person who went to work and listened on his headphones instead (note: actually happened to me)
Hey, you're the one throwing a fit about how awful it is to refer to people as they please, Hansine, not me. This is, whether you like it or not, a pretty good sign.
Pretend, pivot and deflect all you like - my point was very clear.
Hmmm... we're running out of avenues. What can we do?
No one complaining about “cancel culture” actually wants to do anything about it.
I mentioned Ted Cruz upthread. He’s been championing Carano on Twitter, along with many other prominent GOP politicians decrying “cancel culture” in general.
Are any of them actually going to do anything about it? Draft legislation that addresses it in any meaningful way?
Of course not.
It’s all just a big circle-jerk.
What’s hilarious is that not only have these people not been cancelled, they’ve been coddled to the point of absurdity.
Gina Carano played a minor role on a television show and was engaged in conduct that directly insulted a family member of the star of that show. And she was given another chance.
She’s not a victim. She’s an entitled ***hole and her coworkers and employers eventually got tired of dealing with her entitled ***hole behavior.
I'm sure if we looked hard enough, we could come up with examples of this type of behaviour in the animal kingdom.
I'd say at least half of them, unless they bring back Tano. How many episodes should the writers have been forced to write in Cara Dune into on season 3?
Not sure, but someone at Disney thinks it makes Disney a better brand.

Sorry Hans. I thought you were cooler than that. I apologise for overestimating your compassion. That's a mistake I won't make again. But more importantly, no matter how big or small the effort, you don't get to decide for me that I MUST care about your pet issue.
I'm saying there's a sharp and salient distinction between screenplays a studio chooses to produce and ignorant comments their contract employees make on their own time. Probably easier to effectively shame/cancel individuals though. So, by posting a clip from Song of the South are you saying Disney should just stop trying?
[emoji106]I mean TBF I think they should just release it. Put up a warning like Time Warner did with Gone With The Wind on HBO Max.
For those of us who value Carano’s acting way more than her politics, why should we care that she believes stupid ******???
Believing stupid **** certainly didn't do much damage to Jenny McCarthy's career.![]()
What would your argument be against the MPAA blacklist? Surely movie studios have the legal right to decide which employees are too odious to hire.I mean, what is the argument here?

Did you? Seemed like you were just throwing it out there.I asked you first.
