We went to visit the Capitol a couple of years ago.

We got to go into the balcony of the senate. They weren't in session and there were only a couple of people vacuuming the floor.

If I had tried to enter the floor and sit at the dais, how far would I have gotten? I would have been tackled before I got 10 ft

Pelosi demanded that the Chief of the Capitol Police resign. He has since tendered his resignation. Not sure when the resignation is effective. But something tells me he knew his job was doomed after what we saw yesterday.

Discussion in the thread followed about how most effectively to sneak guns into Washington, laced with occasional references to using them. D.C. has some of the nation’s strictest gun laws: Openly carrying guns is banned, concealed-carry licenses from other states aren’t recognized, and all firearms in the District must be registered with local police.
Of carrying guns in D.C., one poster in the thread wrote, “Yes, it’s illegal, but this is war and we’re clearly in a post-legal phase of our society.” Wrote another: “LIVE AS A FREE AMERICAN AND BRING YOUR ARMS!”
More than half of the top 50 posts on thedonald.win’s homepage Monday related to Wednesday’s certification featured calls of violence within the top five comments, according to research by Advance Democracy, a group headed by former FBI analyst and Senate investigator Daniel J. I can never remember which is "Capital" and which is "Capitol" in regards to which is the location, which is the governing body, and which is the actual building and I sincerely doubt I've been consistently right the last few days.

It's Capitol when you're talking about the government or the building.

It's "capital" when you're referring to money.

Capital: from Latin for "the head", is for the city that is seat of government. As well as the tops of columns, larger letters, serious offenses and punishments, and oldtimey expression of excellence. Eta: and money.

Capitol: from the actual hill in Rome, the Capitoline, on which the Senate building sat. Hence it is used to refer only to buildings used for the same function.

Just remember that "A" is the "head" of the alphabet. And "O" is the shape of an *******.
