Biden isn't going to waste another dime on that wall that he doesn't have to.

"President-elect Biden will end Trump's so-called 'national emergency' and stop stealing money from our military and end the lawsuits to seize land from Americans living on the border," a transition spokesperson said.

As has been explained before, Richard Nixon got exactly that from Gerald Ford, covering any and all crimes he may have committed while in office.

This is true, but we really don't know how legal or constitutional it was, because nobody ever tried to challenge it in court.

They just let it slide.

I doubt that Trump would get the same sort of concession.

Part of me wants to think that Russia understands that killing an American President, even an ex-President, even a hated one, is crossing a very specific, very dangerous line in the sand.

I mean everyone gets that if Russia does "get" Trump... that's not a good thing right?

Arrrgghhh!!! There was a leadership spill between a left leaning prime minister and a right wing idiot, and as neither had enough votes, the compromise was making a happy clapper, idiot, Scott Morrison, the new prime minister.


So in essence Trump has awarded the legion of merit to the bloke, not doing anything, standing in the room at the right time.

The bill is 5,593 pages. These omnibus, "must-pass" bills are an opportunity for legislators to get their pet issues enacted that would never see the light of day if voted on individually.

I susgest something is wrong with out legislative system if congresee members have to vote on a bill there is no way they could have read through or even read a decent synposis of. And It happens all the time.
