Oh, I’ve been calling Mike Flynn a piece of **** for a long time. He never disappoints.
I mean, can you imagine doing what he did and being that self righteous about it to believe you deserve forgiveness from the very nation you betrayed. And then to celebrate the guy who gave you that forgiveness for his own self serving reasons. And then to call for the dismantling of the democracy of that country, even after betraying and then an unearned reprieve from the consequences from that betrayal. All from a former general, sworn to uphold and defend the idea of democracy. What an absolute piece of ****.
But his own self interest is at least an explanation for his absolutely corrupt and disgusting behavior. A true piece of **** by any measure.

I think you’re correct in this particular case but, having dipped into the Free Republic forum recently, there are people who genuinely believe in this nonsense.
There’s a poster with the handle God_Country_Trump_Guns who believes that Trump became president by devine intervention and he is comparatively level headed by comparison with most of the others there.

As is typical with divine intervention, it only seems to happen when you get what you want. God caused Trump to win, he says, but apparently not twice. I guess God has some other tricks up his sleeve to keep Trump in office, except that studying history, God gives his favor rather erratically. It's not something you can count on in the long run.
