The sole witness in the federal election case in Georgia is a Republican activist who thinks it's "amazing" and suspicious that Biden got so many more votes than Trump in the batches that she saw.

This case was rejected by a Trump appointed Judge.

Yeah. That would have gone over well. These same GOPpers were shocked, shocked, SHOCKED! eight years ago to find out that nobody in North Philly wanted to vote for Romney. They spent years rending their shorts over it even after the Philadelphia GOP told them point blank that was no surprise to them whatsoever.
 
Before the election, I thought Ross Douthat wrote the best argument why someone like him would vote for Trump (and then he didn't).

Who is making the smartest argument that these things are just not true? Like is there a not-stupid Sydney Powell out there?

I think that something that even Tucker Carlson appears to regard as dubious might not be worth getting excited about until she actually shows this evidence.

Honest patriotic Smartmatic and Dominion employees have already stepped forward as witnesses. Powell is calling for more to do the same.

Fox News Host Tucker Carlson tonight critiqued Trump Lawyer Sidney Powell for not providing any evidence in her claim that votes and machines were taken and flipped from Donald Trump and Joe Biden. Even Tucker Carlson realizes that their claims are doing damage to America, and that if you make big claims you have to provide evidence: “But she never sent us any evidence despite a lot of requests, polite requests, not a page. When we kept pressing she got angry and told us to stop contacting her. When we checked with others around the Trump campaign, people with positions of authority, they told us Powell has never given them any evidence of either, nor has she provided any today at the press conference.”

Is that anything like the "any day now" when Rudy claimed he would provide evidence of wrongdoing from "Hunter Biden's laptop"?


Because we're all still waiting for those "any days" to arrive!

Dominion says it has nothing to do with Smartmatic.

Dominion should sue Trump after this. Their business may never recover.

I seriously wondered about that after just his series of Trump tweets.

They are really making some serious charges here. What they are saying is certainly libelous. (Although, I'm not exactly certain how libel applies to companies. I think they have named specific Dominion executives, too.) The only thing I think could save their bacon is that Dominion might not be able to show evidence of damage, because they are getting lots of free publicity, and when it's all over, it will be shown that their machines worked fine.

If their sales go down at all, though, they will be able to make a credible case that it was due to the negative publicity from these libelous claims.

In the case of Sydney Powell's claims today, she might be acting on behalf of the Trump campaign, which won't have any money to sue for anyway, but in the case of those tweets, they came from @ReadDonaldTrump himself.

Of course, maybe he won't have any money, either, but that's all rumor right now.

In fact, if I was in Dominion's and Smartmatic's position right now, I would be suing Powell and Giuliani for damages.

Perhaps, but taking them to court would force their hand, make them show their (lack of) evidence!

Tomorrow is the deadline for certifying election results in Georgia. Monday is the deadline for certifying election results in Michigan and Pennsylvania. What is your explanation as to why Ms. Powell hasn't used this overwhelming evidence to request emergency injunctions to prevent the certification of election results in those states?
 
Vaporware! I think that's a good description!

The allegations of fraud evaporate as soon as you look at them, leaving nothing behind, except maybe a bad smell in the air. :)
