I have an idea...maybe it will all go away if we simply don't acknowledge the fact that Sidney Powell announced today that she has affidavits, witnesses, documents...proving massive vote flipping by Smartmatic software, specifically designed to steal elections, and that patriotic Smartmatic and Dominion employees have already stepped forward as witnesses.


What do you think ? Should we pretend she never said it?? So far, our favorite sources are pretending it didnt happen, maybe we should follow their lead??

If I can be serious for just a moment.

Yes. These are very serious allegations. Any time someone alleges vote fraud, they are talking about something that eats away at the very core of our society. This is America. Democracy is what we are. It's the definitive characteristic of our culture. We're the ones who told the king that we didn't want him, and we build a government with separation of powers as its central element in order to prevent dictators from arising. Underpinning all of that is free and fair elections, and if someone messes with that, it's incredibly serious. So, we should carefully hear her allegations and examine the evidence.


And then we should point and laugh because it's going to be ridiculous.


Technically, I can't be sure of that last sentence. I'm just going on everything else that has ever happened.

I worry that Trump may end up pulling off this scam. I think the chances are pretty low, but I'm constantly amazed at what he gets away with. I also worry that some of his extremist supporters will do something bad. I could actually see him convincing people that he is still president after Biden gets inaugurated.

I think it remains to be seen. She made a number of allegations, some of which don't match available evidence, and some of which have no evidence as yet.

She says she has evidence and witnesses. Once she provided them, we will be in more of a position to judge. at the moment, all we have is a lot of hot air.

I'm beginning to think that anyone who makes unproven election fraud remarks in the media should be susceptible to criminal and/or punitive damages.

I think if they had any actual evidence to present, they would have presented it at one of the 30ish court cases that they have lost so far.

Instead, the best they have done is send Rudy in to trip over himself and prove that he knows absolutely nothing about the law anymore.

I think that claims are not evidence, and all she has are claims, otherwise she'd be in court with them. She isn't in court because she doesn't want to be humiliated at best, or be charged with perjury at worst.

Well, in Pennsylvania they didn't have any evidence up front but promised to present evidence at the evidentiary hearing.

The judge cancelled the hearing because there was no basis to believe they had any evidence worth bringing forward.

They seriously think that the judge should put the election on hold just because they ask him to, with the promise that they are going to have evidence of fraud at some point.

ETA: All I can think of is the episode of MASH when Henry meets the cheerleader and she comes to visit the 4077. Henry is doing a bunch of exercises before she arrives, and is having the same issue as Rudy. Hawkeye says, "Henry - your hair is bleeding!"

An excuse I've been seeing making the rounds is that the recounts don't count because they're just recounting fraudulent ballots and that there have to be audits in order for the legitimacy of the ballots to be confirmed.

Our rights have limitations. You can't defame or libel others. You can't yell "fire" in a crowded theater or say you have a bomb in an airport. Why? Because those things actually endanger people and are damaging. The fact is making claims that there was widespread fraud in our election is endangering and damaging our republic and its citizens.

If you have a genuine reasonable belief, then you shouldn't be liable. But Rudy should have to face actions against him when he yells "FRAUD" the day after he rambles on in court about it but after having his feet put to the fire admits he has no evidence of fraud.

Yes. I got to see Rudy's conference. Close up. The hair dye kept dripping from his scalp. It appeared that it co-mingled with bead of sweat. Then, he began talking about something that had nothing to do with Trumps lawsuit. He babbled on about the movie, "My Cousin Vinny.'

Just almost surreal. And, Rudy, somehow has managed to not be thrown under the bus by Trump. YET!!!

Apparently not even to Trump, because we know that if Trump knew about any of the evidence that he would not keep it secret.

It's REALLY difficult to believe that someone could have massive, irrefutable amounts of evidence about something as serious as swapping the results of a presidential election and not have one speck of it leak out. Or have no one else independently learn about the fraud.
