Hey Red Baron. Don't agree with your post ...but welcome back. I would love to chat with you about agriculture some time. I want your opinion on a few things.
Well lets start the conversation right here then. We can move to another forum as needed if it starts to get too far off topic.

I wonder if congress will be to preoccupied with the election results and challenges to pass the prime act?

In my opinion Trump had the chance to win by a landslide had he taken this bipartisan legislation and pushed to pass it back when it first was introduced in the House (05/25/2017).

Instead of trying to rebuild economically devastated small farmers by opening up markets we are locked out of by regulatory capture and rebuild rural communities though, at every step he and Purdue tried to crush the life out of it even further! This from Wisconsin, one of the States Trump could have won, if he wasn't such an idiot.

U.S. Agriculture Secretary: Family farms might not survive

Far out, dude.

Honest question

Do you actually seriously think the US's ugly current ugly issues are going to magically suddenly be solved because you get rid of this orange misogynist, racist, lying, piece of scum?

Actually do you think one dude caused it?

As that would be delusional.

Tucker Carlson is avoiding the presidential election and focusing on how Democrats lost House seats.

Triumphalist trolls are the most annoying. Any and every defeat they get hit with is instantly translated into an epic, massive victory.

Biden will end up with about 6 million more votes than Trump and the numbers the GOP maintains in the house and senate will only be due to gerrymandering and rural state over-representation - but they'll have us believe this is actually a massive, overwhelming epic defeat for the Dems and this proves that America much prefers the GOP.

Marjorie Taylor Green ,newly elected GOP Qanon whackjob from Tennesee is off to a great start;picking a fight with a Prominent GOP house Member:

https://www.politico.com/news/2020/11/06/crenshaw-marjorie-taylor-greene-twitter-spat-434751

Guaranteed;however much the House Dems might not like her her fellow Republican House Members will hate her even more;clear she is will considers almost every other Republican house member as part of the Deep State.

SHe has not even taken the oath, and already she is meeting my expectations as a source of entertainment.

This must be how Trumpers feel looking at AOC...Except that this MAGA idiot really is that stupid.

Expecting a narcissist to modify their narcissism is like expecting a shark to fly. You might as well ask Trump not to be fat and bald.

That's why I made the reference to a Greek Tragedy. His own flaws have stopped him from achieving his heart's true desire.

I would love to see this whole mess come before the Court, and see them shoot him down 9-0. With the all-time greatest stinging rebuke from Chief Justice Roberts.

I'm half hoping for this myself, as the ultimate rebuke of his nonsense. Refusing to hear his appeal might, legally, be the same, but having a comprehensive smack-down of his nonsense by a heavily Republican weighted court would be invaluable in re-establishing normalcy in US politics. Give the scoundrels no quarter, and no room for retreat.

A Trump loss clears the way for Carlson in 2024.
Lachlan Murdoch will help that. He will be reducing the number of pro-Trump talking heads from Fox News to reduce cost and entice back lost advertisers. Carlson is on $6mil to $10mil. Hannity is on $30mil to $40mil depending how you calculate share options.

"Lachlan Murdoch's priority, according to sources and his own public statements, is the company's profits. Murdoch is not especially engaged in the editorial side of Fox News. His interest is in growing the business, which is on a path to $2 billion in annual profits.

Fox profits through subscriber fees and advertising sales. Carlson's program has turned off many advertisers, due to a litany of scandals and offensive segments, but he still garners support from some key sponsors.

Anyone with her talent, skills, energy, and dedication needs to be right where she has been ... right on the front lines. A VP slot would have wasted her.

You know, I skimmed your post right after reading a post about Marjorie Taylor Greene. In my addled state, I thought you were talking about her rather than Abrams.

No offense, but the misreading is a lot more interesting.

Honest answer.

Getting rid of Trump is the first step in attempting to heal a huge, destructive rift in America. If you think otherwise, then that would contradict what is real right now.

Racism in America in particular is a disease that must be cured. It's hard to overstate how destructive and disgusting it is to devalue one's fellow citizens in this way. A Dem president has not been enough to cure this in the past, but the fight must go on, and it sure won't go on under the likes of Trump, who revels in playing biases against each other to his own advantage.

So Trump must go, because he exacerbates the important problems. It's as simple as that.

Biden's lead in AZ just dropped from 37K to 30K.

However, it took about 75000 votes to do it (Trump got about 55%)

Beforehand, the NYT was reporting that there were 142000 + change votes left to be counted. So it's down to about 65000 left. Trump would need about 75% of them flip the lead

I think that there is a legitimate argument for invoking the 25th Amendment right NOW

Clearly Trump is unhinged, and could do significant damage in his last 2 months.

Let Pence finish out his term. And send Trump away in a straight jacket.

... I don't believe however, that any state legislatures are going to go along with Trump's fantasy that they can throw out the state's votes and elect Trump delegates to the EC. It would be political suicide, something I don't think has been considered by the fear mongerers.

That last sentence, the one you highlighted?

That's lost a lot of its punch over the past four years.

Political suicide would be something Trump's supporters and sycophants would draw the line at. It has been made eminently clear that for them no such line could ever exist.

They have established that they have no sense of honor or patriotism. No sense of history or how they will be seen by it. No glimmer of integrity.

And as long as their support is there, and especially as long as the covey of Trump partners-in-crime control the Senate, they have no reason to change. They know their actions will have no personal consequences for them. They have had years of proof of that.

Don't forget we are talking about the state legislators, not federal. These are not people who are uniformly sycophants. Many 'lesser' Republicans have been standing up against Trump. Take the Secretaries of State, (elected offices on the state level), who are responsible for the vote counts in their states. They have been standing firm that their vote counting is legit.

When Ted Crud gave his little 'look at me' talking point on Fox News last night all full of faux outrage that the vote counting was not transparent, the reporter from NPR said she was looking right at a live feed of the Philly vote counting.

Just to follow up on this: PBS/NPR: As legal challenges fizzle, Pa. GOP reaffirms it will not seek to override popular vote

5-4 for Trump, at best. The others know who their masters are.

Do you have confidence that a majority of the justices on SCOTUS know what America stands for.

Still, I know one thing - if the SCOTUS overturns the result and gives it to the ex-President, then that will be the start of the second American civil war.
And Trump's side has the guns.

So the only way that this could get overturned by the USSC is if there were an actual, legitimate complaint that could be made.

But if there were a legitimate complaint to be made, we would actually be hearing about it already. So far, the only thing Trump has said is, "On Tuesday, I had a big lead, but now I don't." That's not evidence of fraud, especially since we know about the issues regarding the timing of counting. There is no evidence in any way that election officials are violating any state laws regarding the counting of ballots.

The only court case that Trump has won so far is to let observers stand closer to those doing the counting.

If there was a legitimate court challenge out there, they would be doing it instead of the stupid crap they have been losing.
Five or Six of the Scrotus don't give a **** about legitimate anything, just the Republican Party.

I agree. There are actually a lot of Republican politicians who would not support going to the SC to get this all overturned. They recognize that questioning the legitimacy of our elections in that way would turn us into a 3rd world republic.

It doesn't take much integrity to say, no, that's not how we do it. It takes no integrity to support it.

*****' RINO's! Once sworn in as POTUS-FOR-LIFE Trump will deal with them!

A Trump loss clears the way for Carlson in 2024.

Did you mean Cucker Tarlson? In any case, the 2024 candidate will be a Trump. Cucker would rather pull strings from behind the scenes.

Racism in America in particular is a disease that must be cured.

Not gonna happen in my lifetime. Probably not in yours either.

Lol

I don't care who wins.

I just like watching it.

Edit: I know it is hard for you to get, but it means nothing to our country

Almost a quarter million Americans would disagree with you...if they didn't die from Trump's pandemic.

Yes, AZ is not quite the done deal. There are still 173K votes to count, 92K in Maricopa County.
