Hello all,

I’m a Brit and have been watching with interest, our media are reporting Trump is claiming electoral fraud but providing no evidence? Is this indeed the case and is it just the baby throwing his toys out of the pram?

Ah, he kind of has been saying stuff like this constantly for years. It's a component of his campaign for some reason.

They overlook that a lot of Trump's Fundy Chrsitina Followers are as anti Hinduism as they are anti Islam.
One thing is usre, recent events have shown the Hinduism making such a big deal about how tolerent a religion it is is a crock. It can be just as bigoted as any other religion.

There are primarily two groups in India that support Trump. The first are the rabid casteist Hindus. You might have come across some of them during the Howdy Modi event in the US. Those are the well off ones who are not unwilling to swallow a MacDonalds while there but scream about the Holy Cow in India. Many of them are rabid BJP supporters. BJP rose to power in India on the primary rhetoric that "Hinduism is in Danger" that many willingly swallow without evidence.
Despite his ministry's disastrous handling of the economy and horrible policy decisions (called "masterstrokes") he still has the following as the hatred for muslims and a perception of casteist birthright superiority has created an illusion that soon India will attain the greatness of a glorious past -- "Ram Rajya".
Then there are people like a former colleague, a successful young professional who constantly harps on his caste lineage had a large photograph of Obama framed and hung in his house when he was elected. When Obama received the nobel prize he distributed sweets. Then when Trump was elected he did the same. Essentially his dream is to migrate to America and become an American citizen. He is currently trying hard to lobby for a policy post in the Modi government. This guy is not a small town ignoramus but a qualified agricultural engineer with a diploma from Germany. Ultimately his casteism trumps decency and common sense.
The other group are the hard core christians in the US who like the homegrown evangelicals are influenced by the Trump's showboating.

I'm told Alex Jones was there. Could be him or one of his followers.

Alex Jones being arrested would've been the icing on the cake, along with Steve Bannon being banned from Twitter. It's like the whole cult is melting down.

When Trump thought he was going to lose the 2016 election he started claiming people were cheating.

When he won he claimed Hillary Clinton's ~2.7 million popular vote lead was because illegal immigrants voted. It was absurd. Trump has a mental disorder that makes him incapable of admitting anyone has ever beat him at anything.

It is no surprise that he's using the same ego-preserving claims now. It's the same thing, he can't face losing so he's claiming people are cheating him out of his deserved reelection.

Who is cheating him? Biden supporters and the 'deep state' of course.

It's putting the cherry on top of screwing the country. He's trying to mobilize people to save him from being cheated out of his due. We were hoping Biden would win by such a large margin that Trump's tantrums would have little effect.

Instead the election is almost tied. When we wake up tomorrow and find that Biden moved ahead in Pennsylvania and they are almost tied in Georgia, the **** is going to hit the fan in the WH. We are in for a rocky ride when Biden wins and half the voting public believes the election was rigged.

Can't blame them. If Trump wins I will believe there was election interference.

I don't believe however, that any state legislatures are going to go along with Trump's fantasy that they can throw out the state's votes and elect Trump delegates to the EC. It would be political suicide, something I don't think has been considered by the fear mongerers.

I agree with you that it's too close for anyone to give up officially even though the writing has been on the wall for some time. Ironically, though, I believe Trump has conceded in his own stupid way just by how he's behaving. He knows what's coming.

He was doing that weeks before the first ballot was cast.

He did the same thing four years ago.

In a way, this has to be making Kemp just a little bit happy in Georgia. Kemp opened too soon, had a huge COVID spike, did everything Trump wanted and got kicked in the teeth for it. I know I'd be taking some small pleasure in getting phone calls from Trump crying about the voting in his state.

I doubt that would matter one way or another to Kemp.

Now, if he can make widows and children cry (non-white ones, of course), that would probably cheer him up.
