That no fly zone over the Biden HG has just been upgraded to a National Defense Zone which I think means there will be some kind of air patrol over it.

I think you're missing the full message. He won't concede even when it's clear that he's lost.

Half expecting the Secret Service to have to drag him out of the Oval Office and toss him through the gate come January.

When Trump officially goes down, the world will cheer. That's why I can't stop watching the election coverage ... I don't want to miss it.

Many Republicans actually seem to believe that Trump, the most crooked, self-serving liar in American politics, respects the rule of law ... which I find bizarre.

Much in the same way a lot of how Trump "won" doesn't make a single lick of sense until you realize he and his followers weren't using the same definition of "win" you have to realize that when Trumpers talk about law and order they aren't talking about agreed upon rules that we are held to, they are talking about tools that people in power use to keep undesirables in check.

And then the MagicEye picture focuses just right and you see the sailboat.

I was tipping Trump to win.

But Biden was going to be my second guess.

I think nothing illuminates Trump's level of integrity more than the fact that he's often declared himself the winner of golf tournaments where he didn't even play.

Decision Desk HQ calls the race for Biden.

Come on AP, ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN and FOX: do it!

What difference does it make who calls it?

It isn't over until all the ballots are counted. And then a lot of them recounted.

And ... because Repugnicans can't be trusted ... then the Electors assigned. And then the Electors cast their votes.

This is mandated to be Dec. 14, this election year

That's when someone can call the race.

(And I didn't even bother including potential legal challenges.)

Here's a link to a fairly concise explanation of the process.

Careful reading will unearth a variety of pitfalls along the way when the honesty and integrity of the losing party cannot be depended upon. Not least when that party holds control of a number of state legislatures as well as the U.S. Senate.

And the SCOTUS.

Don't you think he will create the Mar a Lago Casino and Presidential Library and Strip Club when he leaves?

Yes, I know.

But it begins with Biden actually winning the theoretical EC.
Recounts won't be an issue, except in Georgia, and Biden doesn't need Georgia (although it would be fine to have it, of course).

The rest, we'll see.

It is a great relief to turn on the TV this morning and see the four contested states' stats all turned blue. To me, Pennsylvania is particularly a pleasant shock. With that one and 20 votes, it's all over, and by a more comfortable margin.

Yes. Very much so.

Although, I fear to some, he might be a little over dramatic.
Over dramatic? Genuinely on the verge of tears at one point, and trying to get it together. I know, because I've been there several times the last few days. Frustration and sadness that half the country remains willfully ignorant.

But yes, I understand that he would appear over dramatic to some, those who have no empathy. Or brains.
(It's hard to bring this across in text, but I'm agreeing with you.)

Imagine how it must feel for them. I don't think they enjoy it. Mebbe for the first day or so, but not now.

They know as well as any of us that there is little if anything they can add productively, but they have to be there anyway, trying futilely to make it look like they do.

I doubt they want to be there any more than you want to watch them at it. The difference is that you get to stop whenever you want to.

I feel sorry for them.

(Well, the legitimate ones, at least. Hannity, Gingrich, and their ilk can go sit on a spike.)
Yes, kudos to the (real) journalists who are working with what they can. It reminds me of the whole Flight 370 week where it seemed like there was virtually no other news (being reported) for seven or so straight days. So much so that internet videos were being created to "Free Martin Savidge!" because he had to spend so much time in that mock-up cockpit.

Of course, the current story is several orders of magnitude above that in importance and impact.

They won’t get that many faithless electors. Trump is angry and talking crazy but that’s his whole gimmick. Biden won by enough where shenanigans are impossible imo.

I think this is a done deal
