So the NYT is reporting that Arizona should have an update at 9 pm EST. Hopefully a big update and we can put it all to rest. Currently Biden is up by 93K (3.4%)

I think the answer will come when Nevada makes it's update at noon tomorrow.

If they both go Biden, Pennsylvania and Georgia are moot and we can call the election.

They've only limited the announcements they're going to make.

They will report daily at 10 a.m. on newly received ballots post-marked on or before election day. Biden is anticipated to hold or slightly increase his lead. Barring an upset, it's over. It will be a few more days until they have final numbers. They'll do some rudimentary audits with random batches. The official so named by that state will certify the results. They or someone else so named to do so will present those results to Congress, etc.

Like every year.

ETA: for presidential cerified results, this becomes the basis for the governor (or whoever) to name electors and charge them to vote consistent with statute yada yada...

Don't overlook the role played by rampant capitalism of the American variety, where greed features prominently, and the yawning gap between the 1% and the rest widens relentlessly. The middle class is a dwindling demographic, and cynical disaffection is on the rise. When something as basic as health care is monetized for profit, and folk can be bankrupted or die, little wonder the collapse is manifesting before our eyes.

Any of them who have been publicly supporting Trump for the duration of his presidency, regardless of what they may have said in the safety of privacy or in these last gasps of Trump's reign ARE the deplorables.

And that is generally all of them.

Face it. Repugnicans have, over the past four years, proven beyond any shadow of a doubt that they are the party of, by, and for deplorables. Anyone who doesn't fit that description is ... quite literally ... unwelcome among them.

The only thing Hillary got wrong about her prescient "basket" comment was how full the basket was. She couldn't envision that it was actually overflowing.

Fulton county, GA, had a burst pipe yesterday that resulted in a delay in counting around 50,000 votes there, but they expect to finish before midnight, so in 5 hours or so?

I know this is from some pages back, but... we just held our elections about a month ago. No IDs required. Only one observer per party allowed in the polling stations. No politicking on polling day (meaning all signs had to be down at midnight before polling day, not waving party merchandise, etc.) No trains of armed supporters cruising past polling stations. No long lines with people waiting for hours. No lawsuits before, during, or after the election. No attempts by either party to suppress voting. No attempts to gerrymander the electoral seats. No voting fraud.

But I guess we are an insane country...
 
Trump has launched lawsuits in Michigan, Georgia, and Pennsylvania.

For the record, he's not even losing yet in Georgia and Pennsylvania.

CNN is saying Arizona will provide an update at 8 EST and another at midnight.


Fox called Arizona for Biden hours ago, they are taking flak from Republicans who haven't given up yet.


We still need an update from Nevada before anyone will call the election, don't know what is taking them so long.
