FBI also made it very clear that there won't be any charges until after the election and even then only if Biden wins.

Is it a protest? If so, what are they protesting? Elections?

Pretty sure I’m not alone in having a serious case of foreboding about tomorrow’s Election Day.

It reminds me of the approach of a slow-moving hurricane. Or a major surgery date drawing near.

Or maybe an even better analogy is the Y2K “panic”.

Hopefully our better angels will prevail and we’ll all be surprised things played out as well as they did. But it’s uncharted territory to have an election’s results being cast into doubt and properly cast votes legislated against before the first “day of” vote is even cast.

But all we can do now is wait - and vote tomorrow if you’re entitled to and have not already done so.

This too shall pass.

Trump Campaign Senior Adviser Jason Miller says Democrats will try to “steal” the election by counting votes after election night.

The really sad thing about that is that that's only a tiny escalation from the 2018 rhetoric. Tiny, as in the "after election night" specific time limit part. They were screaming bloody murder as the red mirage vanished in a lot of races and claiming that counting legitimately cast ballots in the first place meant that Democrats were stealing elections.

Trump is going to declare himself the victor early and demand that counting cease.

That's good.

I wonder what crimes might be involved. Obviously, there was a collision between two vehicles. If they can find evidence that that was intentional, that's obviously a crime. From what I read, the Trumpers were also deliberately slowing down in an effort to stop the bus. That might be an interesting source of charges all by itself. "Conspiracy to slow down a bus" isn't a federal crime, but I suspect that there are in fact crimes on the books related to intimidating or threatening people running for election.

Yeah. To be clear about my thoughts on it -

Terrorism definition from googling the word terrorism - "the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims."

What happened there was terrorism. Brazen terrorism. And it needs to be punished and stopped sooner, rather than later.

Hell at the rate Trump is going the Left is going to become the biggest supporter of the 2nd Amendment in its original context.

The 2nd Amendment, as far as I'm concerned, has been obsolete for a very long time, so it's hard to say that I'm a "supporter" of it. Still, I firmly support the interpretation of it that was consistently upheld until the very recent times of the far right engaging in a rather comprehensive campaign to redefine it into something harmful.

I'll stake my reputation on there never being a Trump concession speech. I find the event simply unimaginable. Picturing him welcoming Biden to the White House as departing Presidents traditionally do is a stretch, but it would put him on-camera so cannot be dismissed out-of-hand. Admission that he's a loser can.


Whatever happens, about a third of the US electorate will believe the result to be illegitimate. That can't be good.

Remember when the Shrub junta lied about faeces being smeared all across the Oval Office, telephone & internet lines being cut and reports being destroyed?

Which is all very sell, if somewhat annoying, until they actually start impeding traffic and cars actually start running into each other.

Basically just one more piece of evidence that the norms of civilized behavior are falling apart in Trump's America.

I can't believe our nation has descended into the sort of place where Wal-Mart decides it's best to take the guns and ammo off of display in advance of an election. This is not the America I grew up in. I just hope the America I knew is still present under the surface and can come out when this election is over.

We’re now a day away from Election Day, and that means two big things for our forecast. First, the forecast is now totally polls-based; that is, any advantage our forecast gave Trump for the economy or for being an incumbent is no longer factored in. Second, the uncertainty around how much the polls will change between today and Election Day is also no longer an issue. To be clear, you're saying that when all votes are counted and the Electoral College meets in December, it will elect Trump. If Trump declares victory tomorrow night with a lead in early counting but then loses when all votes are counted you're not going to say Biden stole the election.
