My point is the article suggest that when given the choice Trump will chose to save his ego without offering any mechanics as to how he's supposed to do that or even what "save his ego" really means.

Trump looks down the barrel and sees there's no way he can win the Presidency and just gives up to save face. Okay fine maybe but then what? That won't do anything about the legal repercussions he's facing. It won't do anything against the massive amount of dirt that you know is going to come out after he leaves office.

I agree. I read the article earlier today. It was labeled analysis (or opinion) I forget which. I thought it was space filler.

I'm curious if he's considered interment arrangements. One would expect if he has a grave site it'll be at high risk for defacement, at the minimum, if not outright disinterment, grave-robbing, and corpse desecration. Either his foundation (or loving, loving family) will have to hire a security detail or else they'll have to make the site a secret. Or not have a site, and store his ashes on a tacky gold mantelpiece or something.

If Melania starts being seen carrying a strangely orange leather handbag and matching shoes we'll know what's up. I wouldn't blame her a bit.

Of course Obama couldn't endorse Biden until after the primaries, otherwise it would have been unacceptable interference in the primary process.

I have no doubt he wants something that his supporters could make loving pilgrimages to. Something tacky like a 30 foot tall gold plated monument with his face carved on the side. Maybe add flashing lights, eternal flames, and loudspeakers regularly blaring a recording of his voice shouting "Remember me!"

It's very hard to predict what Trump will do. There is a significant possibility that Putin might "reward" him with a poison cocktail if he isn't re-elected.
