2020 Presidential Election

When in fact the most likely reason for the illegal fake ballot boxes in the first place was because the California republican party could dump the ballots in the landfill and then after the election "find" a few and claim that the poll is illegitimate because of the ballots they dumped, screaming all the while that "it was de Democrats wot done it!".

They don't care if the ballots getting tossed are their own voters', because they're so far behind in the state that they're in permanent minor party position there.
Do the envelopes have a return address with the voter's name? I thought they might selectively go through them and keep all the John and Karens and discard all the Joses and Shaniquas (or whatever you might have for a minority name). Sure, some minority votes might still get through, but it might be enough to tip a close House race.

FiveThirtyEight has Trump and Biden at 13 and 87 percent now*. Whch actually worries me a little. I know people have learned from 2016, and voting turnout seems huge this year, but I worry people will become complacent. Biden needs every vote he can get, especially since the GOP plays dirty and stealing the election will become easier if the result is close.

(*yes, I know, Trump cheats, 87% is not 100%, 2016, etc.)

No, there is nothing on mail-in ballots to indicate the identity of the voter. They are completely anonymous.

If the mail ballots are like ours, they'll have the voter's name and address on the outer envelope, with a signature. It wouldn't be too hard to figure out which ones are the wrong kind of voter.

Oh, I wish I could find one of those Fake GOP voter drop offs in California. I would empty the contents of my cat's litter box in a small box and drop it in.

I don't see either of those scenarios mattering - the closer the election gets, the bigger Biden's lead.

The people are speaking, and the message is loud and clear "No more Trump".

I can't wait to see the look on that orange excrement when the realisation hits that he's going to have to go back to Mar-a-Lago a loser.

I'm sure his face will be shown repeatedly for a long time to come. But I'd be more interested in the expressions of people who were involved in his non-impeachment, who are supposed to be his opponents but went out of their way to leave him in power and used his alleged "popularity" as an excuse.

Me, too. I can't wait for them to lose his protection...especially if the GOP loses the Senate majority.

It would still be a money-maker if oil cost $100 a barrel.
The main thing killing fracking is current oil price.

I doubt it will ever rise that high ever again. You might get away with $80
a barrel, but any much higher and your better off synthesizing oil from carbon
dioxide and water mined from the atmosphere. I suspect that price will lower
to $40 a barrel in a decade. You can thank Bill Gates for that.

It sure seems so. I expected the graphs to level out and start closing again, but the gap just keeps widening. It's no 2016 scenario, instead it seems the voters are taking to heart the fact that this is no ordinary election.

Honestly, it seems he has realised this already. He's holding rallies and trying to appear outwardly happy and optimistic, but he seems to know he doesn't stand a chance. He's a beaten man.

What would make you worry less? Trump having a bigger chance of winning?

Oh look! Trump has an 87% chance of victory, at least that will get out the vote.

I don't know how many people will be so invested in politics that they read 538 on a daily basis and yet fickle enough so that if it looks like Biden has it in the bag they won't turn out.

In 2016, the difference seemed to be that mainstream media (where most people get their information) outlets were treating Clinton's victory as a done deal. 538 were the exceptions. And of course FOX which managed to get out the vote.

Fair point.

Georgia, this is your chance to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN. We have been strong for our Military, Vets, 2nd Amendment, and ALL. VOTE NOW!

The polls have shown Georgia wavering back and forth but most recently it's gone Biden by a couple points.

Same with Ohio but that state shifted to Biden by a very small amount longer ago.

According to the GOP spokesperson interviewed on NPR, the boxes are in GOP campaign offices, certain churches and gun shops. They are looking for GOP votes.

And people only think about the POTUS vote. The GOP in CA is almost certainly looking at down-ballot candidates and issues.
